"Let’s talk about Halo Infinite playlists! We’ve been reading your feedback, and we’re working on plans to add Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT), and Free-For-All playlists as we speak. They won’t land by Dec 8, but the team is pushing to get them in before the end of year !
Our goal for Events is to try new modes prior to adding to playlists. We’ll monitor playlist health after the 3 additions above and adjust our offering if needed, but we’re excited to make these updates before the holidays. This is just the start of the conversation with y’all !
A Social Slayer playlist (with multiple variations) is also in the works (we see this request the most), but we won’t be able to get that one ready until after the holidays. We hope you can understand and enjoy the ones that make it in before the team takes a well-deserved break!"

Glad we are getting more, but I wish they would be ready for the full launch on Dec 8th. They really should have had more on release, but better late than never I guess. Hopefully we also get more ranked playlists later on as well.

343i want few playlists to sustain a healthy population.
They’ll keep it at about 5 or so playlists probably for the first year or two.
Swat, Snipers, Infection, etc. are all just rotational/event type playlists.

These are all things they should have had already. They are things that have existed in previous Halo games for ages. Putting out a statement saying they might release the most request playlists in a few months, depending on how they do in events, is a bit tone-deaf in my opinion. It does nothing to address one of the most major concerns currently of not being able to even pick the game mode you want to play. If anything, it seems to concern that the most requested gamemodes will largely just appear as rotational events like Tenrai.

This feels like good news. I just hope the playlists they implement will be permanent, and there will be a way to pick game modes. Having challenges for game modes that may never come up the whole time you play feels ridiculously unfair and is extremely frustrating.
This is my first Halo multiplayer experience so I don’t have the knowledge of previous modes that other people want added in (though infection sounds fun), but just from coming in to Infinite’s experience, not being able to pick which mode you want to play is really frustrating. I’ve gotten to play maybe three rounds of Oddball in the past three weeks, which sucks. I would love to just be able to play oddball only for a handful of games or however long I want because it’s the most fun to me. 
Sometimes you just get in a mood for something and having game mode be a roulette is not fun.

I’m going to see my regular rotation being BTB, Ranked, FFA, and SWAT (not necessarily ordered).
That’s actually a pretty solid rotation that’ll keep me busy for a while. Really really hoping for 4v4 and 12v12 slayer sooner rather than later though

I think the fact that its FTP should keep the population healthier than previous games. I hope Infection becomes permanent.

They are looking for feedback so they know what changes should be made to the game. That’s what this forum is for. I don’t know if it seems like just complaining/being ungrateful to you, but that’s not what everyone’s intentions are.
Conversely, if there are things you like about the game, make a post about it! Tell them about the things you think they’re doing well and what you’d like to see more of. That’s also what the forum is for.
