I’ve noticed that on my very diverse friend’s list, Halo 4 seems to dominate. Usually it’s 6/13 playing Halo, 4/13 playing Blops II, and the rest playing Minecraft or Netflix. Like I said, my list is quite diverse, so does this necessarily mean Halo could have more players, but Blops is attracting more attention, at least on Xbox? Just a thought, really. Also, it should be noted upwards 500k are playing Halo 4 as we speak, if we include Spartan Ops, Idles, Campaign etc, and Blops II was 600k last I checked.

About 4 million are online at the same time each day on CoD mainly because it’s a popular francise among kids. Halo 4 has about 150.000 - 200.000 online each day at the moment.

Those numbers seem grossly exaggerated if it’s Xbox-only, though not if it’s a multi-platform number. and the number of players displayed with specific Halo stats websites doesn’t take other aspects into account, which is why my estimate is 500k, seeing as my friend’s ratio of Halo 4 is 2;4, 2 being war games, 4 being Spartan ops and Campaign etc.
A few hours ago Blops2 had about 697,000 players on xbox and H4 had around 145,000.
The amount of people playing the Nuketown 24/7 playlist was almost as big as the entire population of H4 at the time, actually.
That said, it’s a double XP weekend on Blops2 at the moment, which might be attracting a lot of players. People are going to want to level up and unlock as much stuff as possible this weekend whilst it is considerably faster and easier to do so.
my friend list shows everybody but 2 people playing blops 2. the other 2 playing halo 4. you can’t estimate 500,000 based off of your friend list.
halo 4 dropped 50% since blackops game out. last week it had 500,000 people playing war games now it barely averages 250,000. the game flopped
also if you want to say that people playing spartan ops and campaign aren’t being counted then you can say the same thing for blops 2 as they don’t count zombies and campaign. zombies easily has more people playing it then all of halo 4s war games population

No Halo 4 doesn’t have 150-200k online during 24h, peak player count is about 150-200k at a given time. It’s most likely 1-2 million total during a day or more.
