The description of the Ranked Team Arena playlist states Strongholds as being among the pool of gametypes in rotation. Either, that’s outdated or I have terrible luck. I have played 30 rounds this season with zero sign of Strongholds. Trying to finish my commendations. I know it shows up in BTB, but I’d like to try smaller matches as well. There’s just so much Slayer in most playlists.
Is there an updated location online that shows the current gametypes and maps for each playlist? I know occasionally the Community Update will list changes but I’m hoping for something updated more often.
Strongholds should be in the rotation. You’re likely just getting unlucky.
I did some digging and found that out. lol Hopefully my luck turns around. I do still wish they had a detailed and maintained list of every map and gametype for each playlist.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t there a dedicated team slayer playlist in social? Aside from a lack of team coordination with randoms, Strongholds is a decent game mode.

Oh no it’s a fun game type when searching with a team or competent players, but if you want to win and carry your team to victory objective game types are ostensibly harder. Of the three Strongholds is the hardest and on few occasions I’ve won Strongholds in a 3v4 and 2v4 situation too but only with good teammates. It’s not the game type that makes it good or not enough to keep playing.
I’m just sick of playing Slayer in Team Arena. It should be objective-based games only. Slayer has it’s own playlist. Team Arena is the only playlist available for 4v4 Strongholds. And the only other playlist that offers any kind of Strongholds is BTB. Somewhere around 15 different playlists at all times, and only two of them occasionally offer it (or with my luck, rarely offer it lol)
I wish one of the rotational playlists brought in a Strongholds-based gametype, even if only temporarily. I want to finish my commendations. Husky Raid made quick work of my remaining Flag commendations, thankfully.
I need Capture Sprees, Stronghold Defenses, and Stronghold Wins.

Look out for Core Play, Ranked Hardcore Fiesta, Holiday Fiesta if they do it again, BTB.
Of course, the only one of the above that’s around right now is BTB, and I think the drop rate in Core Play is pretty low.
I enjoy strongholds personally, but I get a sense that matchmaking-assigned teammates are a bit lost when it comes up.
