More of what we don't want.

I’m getting really tired of 343 giving us “kind of” what we want. But never what what ACTUALLY want.

We wanted the Plasma Rifle, we got the Brute Plasma Rifle (which should have been a req weapon, not the base one). We want a Falcon, we’re getting a Wasp. We want Firefight, we’re getting Warzone Firefight. We want some returning favorites in HW 2, instead we get Nightingales and Marauders. It’s like 343 feels the need to put their own spin on everything, no matter how redundant it is to do so. The Storm Rifle didn’t need to exist in a world where we already had Plasma Repeaters or Rifles, for instance.

We always get “their new version” of something we want the way it was. And it’s getting old fast. In some cases it’s a complete waste of their effort making what’s essentially a reskin of something we already had. And in other cases there’s no reason we couldn’t get both, like Firefight Classic alongside Warzone Firefight.

The Wasp is just going to be a re-skin of the Phaeton. They could be giving us a Falcon, which is an entirely unique experience to the vehicles already present in h5. But no, it’s a phaeton reskin.

Im extremelly happy with what we have recieved and what we are getting.

I think it’s more of an I issue instead of WE

MORE OF ANOTHER POST COMPLAINING.

“we want firefight” but from my memory on this very forum there is a huge thread that says, “warzone PVE mode?”

this sounds a lot like “more of what I don’t want”

because again, nothing on your list anyone actually has complained about ( outside of the flying vehicle thing)

this is the same post as those " WE WANT INFECTION" finally gets infection "THIS IS NOT THE INFECTION WE WANTED " post

it is, no one, and i mean no one, said anything about the brute plasma rifle vs the original,

“we want things as they were” you mean “YOU want things as they were.” halo 5 is a new game, new things have been added. as well as some old fan favorites (halo2BR, CE pistol) but more then 90 percent has been brand new, or twerked in a way, that it might as well be

FFS i’m sick of people saying the Wasp is a Phaeton re-skin. IT’S NOT. It’s a completely different vehicle that was in the works since Halo 4. LEARN THE FACTS.
And if you don’t like it, don’t -Yoinking!- use it. Don’t come to the forum -Yoinking!- about something, especially when you haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. I hope 343 doesn’t bother listening to this community any more because all it does is -Yoink- about everything. Do you have any idea how hard it is making a game like Halo and adding content like this. Extremely. They’ve done an epic job with 5, and yes it’s not perfect, but how about you wait and give it a chance before you judge something.

Who is we? I don’t share the same opinions.

I am so glad that only a few people still complain about 343i and when one of these cancer posts pops up all of us disagree. Halo community is coming back people.

Well I just hate when people automatically assume everyone else is in the exact same boat as them. Sure some people might agree but lets not assume we have a Titanic size boat when it’s only a tugboat sized problem.

I dont get it. What´s the point on getting old stuff from older games?

I mean, isn’t the point of new videogames to have new stuff in it? I am very happy to try new weapons and new variants, because that way it feels like Im playing something new.

Whats the big deal with the Falcon or The Hornet? Those vehicles had their time, and now we are getting new versions of UNSC vehicles (well, only 1, but that’s something). Sure, it would be great to have them back, but they are not essencial for this game.

What’s this? What’s this? There’s whiners everywhere! What’s this? What’s this? NOBODY -Yoinking!- CARES.

People like to cling to their past, they want it to be exactly like they remembered it being when they were younger and in an aura

If i recall, the hornet and the falcon were both an easy triple kill. i for one wouldnt have ever used it in game. the wasp is new and looks badass. more than likely wont pilot like a phaeton. i love the brute PR and i love the Multiplayer for this game. Why did everyone turn into an entitled little -Yoink- when this game came out. they could have not added anything.

I’m sure they have their reasons, they most likely have tested items that we have requested and had to make too many changes to it, in order for it to be balanced, and didn’t want to give it the same name. To fix this they rename it. That way we won’t complain that the thing we wanted has the same name but isn’t exactly the same vehicle or weapon that we have grown accustomed to. Instead we complain about a new, or variation, item that is probably well balanced in its creation.

I mean, it looks to be functionally identical in almost every conceivable way, but Damin Provin said it’s “completely different,” so I guess we all need to “LEARN THE FACTS.” 343 apologetics is getting pretty weak these days. Hopefully, the discipline will die out soon, so we can discuss meaningful critiques of these games without righteous apologists coming in vacuous defense of every decision made at 343 Industries.

I am so tired of this mentality. It’s ridiculous. Changes is not inherently progress. Different is not necessarily good (or bad, for that matter). If you have a new idea that is GOOD and brings something beneficial to the table, then by all means incorporate it Beyond that, a certain adage comes to mind: “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” You know what happens when you try to fix things that aren’t broken? You usually break them. This isn’t 343’s game. It’s halo, a franchise they have an obligation to respect. Something they done a pretty poor job of as a result of their apparent need to fix all of the things in Halo that weren’t broken.

In this case, what we have is a lazy addition to the sandbox that mostly amounts to yet another faction-skinned redundancy, which really makes your response to the critique look stupid. The Wasp is a UNSC Phaeton skin. This is not innovation.

We wanted a plasma rifle, we got a plasma rifle (plus the lore says the storm rifle replaced the plasma rifle for the elites, the brutes salvaged the plasma rifles and still use them)
We wanted a UNSC aircraft, we got a UNSC aircraft
We wanted a PvE Warzone gamemode, we got a PvE Warzone gamemode.
We’ll see the Grizzly and more in the full game, this was a beta to test out working in progress maps, mods, ideas, and units.

The community got what it wanted, it’s because you didn’t get what you and a vocal minority wanted that you decided to complain.

he didn’t say “different is good or bad” he simply implied that different, is different. we need to think new ways of halo, which he is again not wrong,

it’s a franchise yes, that had two different, dev teams. just like call of duty has THREE.

you can like bungies halo more, or you can like 343’s halo more.

just like you can like 3rc’s call of duty, more then you like infinity ward’s call of duty. VERY rarely do those two company’s step on each others toes when it comes to the franchise.

so why should 343 HAVE to put bungie, into a 343 project, and inb4 “halo 4 was a disaster” yes, 343 stepped too far out of the box far too early, but that very much established that it is not the same dev team anymore, halo 5 falls more in line with bungies efforts, but 343 has clearly still made it 343’s halo.

which by the way “good” is subjective. some people feel sprint is “good” for halo, others think it is bad. neither is factually.

the only factually thing of this would be saying, 343’s games have not sold as well as bungie, but you can not say for sure, why that is.
