I really liked the music that plays in the Halo 4 concept art video, the glittering chimes at the end especially remind me of Bladerunner. This is definitely a good thing, if you’re going for a mysterious, sophisticated sci-fi atmosphere, 343i.
Yer i agree, the music was actually really fitting for the stuff they were showing in that art glimpse… i mean, i love the past halo games usual music alot… but if we just keep playing the same stuff it might get old. I think in Halo 4, there should be a whole new style of music to really ‘renew’ the halo series and introduce the raclaimer series! Good job 343!
Yeah I totally agree, I’m sick of people saying that the new music sucks and everything but it just fit perfectly into the trailer and its contents.
In my opinion it had a greater feel of wonder, exploration and mystery than any work marty has done (no criticism, Marty’s awesome).
I have complete faith in this new guy and I hope people stop complaining cos they don’t like the change.
Not that I don’t think Marty couldn’t do similar stuff if he was attached to Halo 4, but the previous music is more fitting for the space opera that is the Halo trilogy, bar the noir-mystery ODST and tragedy Reach
I loved the music from the trailer, reminded me a lot of Mass Effect. In some ways it liked it better than Marty’s music, since in the past two Halo games there has been a LOT of music composed of mainly drum beats and all that with no melody, if you know what I’m saying. Anyway, I could see this new music being used in Halo 4, and would be quite happy if it was.
