More incentive to capture bases in Warzone Assault

What’s the point in playing a game that could go into the 15 minute margin and receive right around the same RP (mabe 200 more), than just to purposely not capture the base and receive 1400 RP in 5 minutes? Give us more incentive, maybe like 500-700 RP per base capture, because as of now I just go for kills, I don’t capture bases because I know I’ll end up with relatively the same amount of RP anyway in a quarter of the time.

EDIT: Also it doesn’t even seem to be kill based. A person with 2 kills and then a person with 20 kills will get the same amount of REQ points, this needs to change. Great, we get points for playing the Warzone game and having the allotted time go by, but give us more for doing MORE.

Play to have fun, if you are doing it for stats or req points you are doing it wrong.

Don’t tell others how to play their game. Some people use rewards systems as their primary motivation. To them earning stuff IS fun.

Do you need a cookie to do your Job? You shouldn’t need taken by the hand in real life or in recreation. If you aren’t enjoying what you are doing you might as well be doing something useful kiddo.

I play for fun and for as many REQ points in the shortest amount of time possible…

Yeah winning is fun and all, but like I said give us more INCENTIVE is actually spend around 15 minutes to win the game. Give us a bonus, A REQ pack, anything. That’s the point I’m trying to make.

Objective based game modes always need some sort of reward for playing the objective or else players will just spend their time killing one another. Telling others to just “play to have fun” won’t help the situation.

You win. That should be enough, there are plenty of places to play slayer if that’s what you want to do. Expecting rewards for every action is inane. Try making it through grad school or a job. I didn’t want to work on my thesis I’ll only get one degree. I don’t want to chair the meeting my salary won’t go up any. How about dating? No, I don’t want to go out with you I didn’t get enough a reward. I play halo to have fun, to relax when I can’t or don’t want to be with my family. When I don’t have to work, the op doesn’t want to follow my advice that is his choice. But the key word there is a PLAY. PLAY is supposed to equal fun.

All of those comparisons are meaningless in this topic. Why would I spend potentially 15 minutes playing a game of Warzone (that HAS NO RANK), it does not matter if you win or lose, I’m not wasting 10 more minutes of trying and wasting my time for absolutely no incentive. You have your opinions I have mine, apparently you like to waste 10 extra minutes for the same reward.

I agree with everything you are saying, but you’re missing the main issue. OP is not a special case of someone playing mainly for unlocks. It’s pretty common in fact. Unless you plan on giving a lecture to a large portion of the Halo population it’s not a very good solution.

Take CTF for an example (I don’t play Warzone Assault). A large portion of players would rather use the 15 minutes of playtime to wrack up kills rather than capture the enemy flag. That’s their idea of fun. What OP is saying is there should be more incentive to actually play the objective in Warzone Assault so players like him will feel more motivated to capture the base.

This is an issue a lot of competitive games face.

I see your point some people are like that. That doesn’t make it ‘okay’. I need to rant on occasion.

Yeah, I’m really not a fan of Warzone Assault for the gameplay and I only play for the RP. If I’m on defense, oftentimes I’ll just try to throw the game so I can get that ~1200 RP in a fraction of the time.

Also it doesn’t even seem to be kill based. A person with 2 kills and then a person with 20 kills will get the same amount of REQ points, this needs to change. Great, we get points for playing the Warzone game and having the allotted time go by, but give us more for doing MORE.

Yup, exactly this.

rp this rp that, it’s not the games job to compensate for a players wants. less playing for rp more playing for fun. don’t make the game change to be more a grind than a relaxing enjoyment.

Most people get paid to do their jobs. Then they can buy their own cookies. Playing a game, however one finds enjoyment in it, is its reward. Unless you get enjoyment from trolling/farming other players, then -Yoink- you.

I was referring to additional rewards besides the chance to win. IE most managers aren’t going to offer cookies when you finish a task.

OP can have his opinion regarding rewards for bases and such .
However : “Also it doesn’t even seem to be kill based. A person with 2 kills and then a person with 20 kills will get the same amount of REQ points, this needs to change. Great, we get points for playing the Warzone game and having the allotted time go by, but give us more for doing MORE”
Is a pretty ridiculous statement , no it’s not kill based it’s based on trying to win (obviously i know kills help this) . If the guy who got 2 kills tried his best to capture or defend bases and you who got 20 tried to “throw the game” i’d hope he got more reqs than you tbh .
We have more than enough playlists in which killing is the objective , you should maybe play them instead of trying to change a playlist that many people (like myself ) enjoy as it is .
WZA is already the quickest way to earn req points .Not everyone is obsessed with them , some actually like gametype variation and you know winning the game .

I agree it’s sad warzone has become the best playlist just because it’s the only one I feel gives fair payback after a good win
