So, the encyclopedia’s officially out, and this thing is enormous. One of the biggest things to come out of the encyclopedia is a section on the Endless. This excerpt comes from their section,
Incredibly little is known about their nature, though careful observation indicates that they somehow have the ability to manipulate various forces and energy types in unique ways, including-perhaps more troublingly-a peculiar attunement to elements of Living Time itself, though to what extent is unknown.
This is massive, and certainly makes us wonder what’s going on with the Endless? Well, the section certainly adds more validity to a big theory. This theory being that the Endless are a form of the Precursors! The Precursors understood the Universe on a scale no one else could, that the Universe itself is alive or sentient in some way. Living Time is the Forerunner concept that all life experiences joy and suffering, and it’s part of life in the Universe. The Endless being attuned to Living Time adds further evidence that was in the audio logs, making it more likely that this is the direction 343 is taking the Endless and the narrative. Im incredibly relived as I think this whole Living Time, Precrussors, The Domain, The Flood, The Mantle, The Endless the universe as a Sentient being all being connected is perfect way to take it…Also The Created AI housing themselves in Promthean Knights is perfect exuse to redesign in new Art Style. Small pockets of leftover Created to spice up combat encounters i think the endless should be used sparingly at first. Also use those 10 proto graveminds on Zeta for a few Flood outbreak. Eventually story should go back to The Ark where Banished vs Covenant remains vs UNSC still raging with growing Flood outbreak to deal with. So many exciting possiblities if they ever plan to start talking about single player DLC…Then just add more biomes, dynamic weather and events like battles, better destruction simulation, Raytraced GI and anything else while keeping Quality mode the same just with RT lol…
For gameplay Assination Animations maybe Executions as another type of special kill that has u go Third Person, also classic weapons including Dual SMGs. Blood and gore toggle would be amazing also, maybe option to carry MK50 sidekick as third gun if carrying 2 other primary guns idk…
Then just fix Multiplayer and Custom Browser, have this BR mode be the ultimate evolution of Firefight/Warzone/Spartan Ops ( or seperate Spartan Ops 2.0) which is directly tied into Forge.
Then Forge with unprecedent tools and hopefully a unique take on Co-Op with special DLC like playing as Blue Team following Chiefs wake or something idk. Flood Containment mode for our Multiplayer spartan and Academy continuing to offer ongoing narrative to F2P . Soooo much potential.
