More Enemies?

An interview w/ one of the informers stated that they haven’t revealed the “Ancient Evil”. They also said there is another set of enemies.

Not another set of enemies, more enemy types. Like enemies are the covenant. Enemy types are the elites, grunts, jackals, ect. So there will be more Promethean enemies.

OP is right. Frankie was quoted as saying the the acient evil has yet to be revealed.

I think the Ancient Evil is the Didact or the Precursor.

> I think the Ancient Evil is the Didact or the Precursor.

That is the most likely. We’ve already been introduced to the Didact, just indirectly. Didact’s not evil as well.

crossing fingers for foruner vehicles

They’re obviously the Forerunners.

So many bad guys so little time .

They are evil, they kiled the Perscurors and we even have proof that it’s them; These Prometheans are their servants and warrior class.
Everyone has been revealed in canon.
So? Who cares if they made humans Reclaimers? They suck for killing off and fighting their parent species; The precursors.

I haven’t finished Primordium yet but it must be a Precursor. He’s refered to as the “Timeless One” and the “Beast”. Sounds like an Ancient Evil to me.

> They are evil, they kiled the Perscurors and we even have proof that it’s them;

Because the Precursors tried killing them first.

> These Prometheans are their servants and warrior class.

Then according to 343, they aren’t the ancient evil because the ancient evil has not been revealed yet.

> Everyone has been revealed in canon.

Which you don’t seem to grasp fully.

> So? Who cares if they made humans Reclaimers?

Humanity.

> They suck for killing off and fighting their parent species; The precursors.

Because the Precursors tried to kill the Forerunners first. And not all teh Precursors are dead.

I’m curious as to how the Precursors will fit into Halo’s 5 and 6. We know that there are more Promethean enemies to be revealed, and that they will play a part in the coming trilogy. If the precursors come in, that adds a whole new enemy dynamic:

New Covenant Faction (Elites, Grunts, Jackels)
Old Covenant Faction (Prophets, Brutes, Drones)
Flood
Prometheans
Precursors

Five different enemies, each with several different variants.

One things for sure- The future Halo’s won’t lack for variety.

Or it will show that nobody will be able to learn any lesson. Elites going out to kill humans…again. Grunts and every other client race getting wrapped up in more conflict. Forerunners and their shenanigans. You’d think the threat of the Precursors and Flood would make some alliance that actually last.

Clone post.

Where does it say the Prescurors wanted to kill them first?! I’ve checked Wikipedia. It said the Forerunners wants to be an independent species and so that’s why they fought them.
BESIDES, WHY would they want to kill their children species?! AND HOW in the hell could the Forerunners defeat their infinitely more powerful parents who is superior in every way?! AND who is much larger and much more technologically advanced.
Makes NO sense which is why you’re wrong!

The Ancient Evil HAS been revealed in canon, just not that they’re the Ancient Evil for Halo 4.
You make no argument.
And besides, the Prescurors are sentient species who evolved into an entity, they don’t exist anymore.

No. The Precursors created life in the Milky Way, and would eliminate whichever species they saw fit. The Forerunners didn’t like it, and rebelled, and ultimately, whiped them out, and became the rulers of the galaxy.

I’m not saying they’ll be the ancient enemy, but it’s a very high possibility, and no, it’s definitely not the Forerunners, they’re NOT EVIL.

To quote the late Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?” To which everyone in the Halo verse says, “NO!”

Everyone just likes killing everyone else to much- everyone wants to be top dog, and can’t stand someone else claiming that spot.

They made thousands of other species - and erased them when they felt the need. long ago, when it became apparent that the Precursors were about to erase Forerunners, there was a war, and Forerunners erased them.”

If you’re going to debate, bring something better than Wikipedia.

See above. I believe the Organon, though dismissed as a myth by the Didact, may indeed be a real and a key to this puzzle. Also, Precursors are still flesh and blood and even tribal societies in real human history could land blows against technologically advanced societies.

Where is your evidence that they don’t exist anymore when it pretty much says here that they do?

Precursors are probably the Ancient Evil. As for more enemy types, I guess there could be some more Prometheans guarding Requiem. Or some twist yet to be revealed.
