More elements to difficulty levels.

Maybe someday as an added challenge they can add another element to the difficulty level. After you beat the campaign you could choose to remove cutscenes and your Spartan squad and either go it alone, or choose ODST’s or Marines to accompany you. They could be tougher and more effective than they ever have been, but also able to die. I always enjoyed trying to keep Marines alive. And now that you can tell them what to do it would be a lot of fun.
You could also turn off all Spartan abilities and co-op friends could join your game as an ODST or Marine. You could all have a dive ability like when a grenade lands at a marines feet… you know how they dive and clamber about to get out of the way… It would make it more difficult and interesting to have to rely on cover more often.
The menu might look something like this.

Support respawns (Single player only)-off

If you complete the game with all marines alive and with support respawns off you get a cookie… or some armor… or an armor or weapon skin…whatever. The reward varies depending on what options you’ve chosen. If you complete the game as a marine you get a different reward and an achievement.
I know it will never happen but if it were ever easy to incorporate into the game it would be a little extra something. But I guess that probably couldn’t work if there are any parts in the game where you have to have a jetpack.
