343 stated in their most recent bulletin, that there would be more “characters” in Halo 4.
When you think about it, all you see is Master Chief and Cortana, and the enemies, and the Spartan IV’s from the Multiplayer.
They also stated that the books, comics, etc, will somehow be added to the story without really confusing Halo newcomers.
My thought, the remaining Spartan II’s that are still alive, and Marines or ODST’s mentioned or brought out in the novels will be shown in Halo 4 somehow.
If not Halo 4, then in the new Halo’s in the new trilogy.
Because seriously guy’s Chief isn’t the last Spartan II, if you’ve read the books, you know this. Not only is Chief and some Spartan II’s still around, but it’s possible that some Spartan III’s may still be around.
Well no, what I’m saying is, I know Halo 4 is the return of Chief and all that, but it’d be nice of 343 to finally (unlike Bungie) note that Chief isn’t the only Spartan in general that’s still alive.
They’ve done that through the books though. Honestly, I don’t think the book Spartans should be in Halo 4, Gears of War 3 tried this strategy with book characters and comics ones too and it failed on it’s -Yoink-.
I would love to see the surviving spartans from onyx appear in halo 4 but I’m not so sure they might appear because I am sure their are more than one shield worlds built by the forerunners.

LOL, you’re funny. Currently, because Halo: Reach was a big FAIL in my opinion as a true Halo fan who’s loved the series for YEARS now, Gears 3 has impressed me as much as Halo 3 did back in 2007.
Gears 3 got BETTER when they included the Book characters. I loved Michael Barrick and all the others, and can’t wait to see what Epic Games does next, because unlike Bungie, they haven’t let me down yet.

Yeahh…that’s true…oh well, all we can do is hope right?

Didn’t say the game was a crushing failure. So what the point of this part was, I don’t know.

Ask any other typical fan and they’ll give you confused looks and say “Gears of War has books?”. And did the books characters really stand out that much in Gears 3? Not to me. With Halo 4, you’ll have to devote time to make the average gamer care about the other Spartans and all that does is distract from Halo 4’s main story.
