Is it just me, or has the amount of bad/terrible players dramatically increased in Halo 4?
Now im not saying im great or anything, but im sure a hell of a lot better then the squad mates i get paired up with.
Every match it seems im carrying my team while everyone else goes slightly negative despite them taking the Mantis and/or all the power weapons, or go hugely negative and cost us the match.
The sad part is that because of this i feel the need to camp and constantly do long range fights so i can make up for my teammates and have a real chance at actually winning a game.
I know how you feel…Out of 271 games played ive won 48 of those. Im almost always positive as well and I seem to always get crap personal ordinance when the other team gets lasers/rockets/snipers.
I play Halo as I enjoy the game, have fun online with pals and try my best.

Certainly don’t require carrying through the game though… heck my armour would weigh you down something terrible. I did at least get myself the regen field so I could help out my team mates that are “hauling” me through the game though… Thoughtful right?
Maybe we should ask 343 to release a special War Games section for rubbish players like me… we could all keep out of the way of the pro’s then while still having a great time!
If someone on my team takes a mantis or banshee and loses it within 30 seconds by being stupid and reckless it makes me want to break my disc.
I pretty much employ the same tactics of hanging back, defending the position and letting the enemy team come to me rather than running in like a lunatic spraying an assault rifle at 3 DMR carriers across the map!
I’ve played several hundred games and I believe I’ve only one a little over two hundred. I’ll admit I’ve had really great teams and then some not so good ones. My KDR is above a 1.00 at the very least so I stay positive in most matches, but I do notice some sub-par team set-ups sometimes where one or two of us are having to carry the team. I have fun though, so doesn’t really matter. Just an…observation.

As long as you can go positive in a game mode thats about which team gets more kills ill live :p. I have seen people go like 4-20+ makes me sad
Honestly…it seems I’m always paried with derpy teammates and like MLGPROSTATUS Try Hards on the other team who are all partied up in 4 and in a party calling out and running plays. While my teammates just feed them kills and I’m caught running away trying to remain positive while not getting overwhelmed. Then the derps decide to come to where I bring a guy one shot and just shoot him in the head.

Not everyone is good at Halo, i get that. Not everybody can go hugely positive every match and totally destroy the enemy team. I get that. I myself have the occasional match where i do bad. It happens.
But to constantly get teammates that are nowhere near my skill level and having to carry my team every single match while almost always being outnumbered and having no vehicles or power weapons because my teammates took and wasted them is incredibly frustrating and really sucks the fun out of the game.

I stick to Regicide, Dominion or Big Team Slayer… seems to be the only ones I can manage to actually succeed at. I’m slowly getting better over time though. I can imagine it’s frustrating for really experienced players having muppets like me in their games though. My chap is great at Halo and I play online with him and I must do his head in HAHAHAHA. He’s very encouraging though.
I do tend to be rather offensive than defensive though and will quite happily go in all guns blasting in the hope that my better team mates can have the vehicles etc.

Are you serious? Oh my god, I thought I was the only one!

This reminds me of a situation that happened on…Vortex, yes, it was a Dominion match. The opposing team captured that center base that you can use man cannons to get to and what not. Anyhow somehow the whole other team that was in there all had Incineration Cannons…took some clips of that as I zoomed around and they had four people in there each with their own cannon. They held off our team for some time simply because of that until a few of us were able to get some lucky head-shots off.

This is why we need 2 separate group of playlists.

My “Team” usually plough me over with said vehicles so no… I won’t stay with the team
