More Armor Customizations

So I went back and played Reach a couple of days ago since it was free GwG and my friend wanted to play. One thing we agreed on was that we both thought the armor customization was far superior in Reach than it was in Halo 4 overall.

I don’t know why 343 got rid of things like the wrist mounts or leg attachments. They added that extra bit of detail that really helped to round out your Spartan. Also there were the several permutations with various attachments for each helmet which I though was far superior than the random pattern differences in Halo 4. If they are bringing back the different patters ln the armor can they at least let us change the color (similar to Halo 3’s armor detail? I would appreciate that alot.

I also believe that the skinsuits should have their own separate color option for more player choice. Just making it your primary color got boring. Oh and speaking of primary color can we PLEASE GET SOLID BLACK AS AN OPTION FOR ARMOR COLOR AND NOT JUST A FORCED COLOR OPTION?

I don’t know how I feel about armor effects, but I don’t want this post to be ridiculously long. Please share what you’d like to be able to do with customizing your Spartan in Halo 5!

I like your idea of the under armor having a separate color. The other main aspect I’d love to see is to be able to select armor color (primary & secondary) per armor piece. Especially if armor skins and attachments were both included as well, this would make for some crazy awesome customizations.

Yea and it wouldn’t be a lot of effort to include either.

Reach superior, Halo 4 inferior.

Reach had it great, and I would love 343 to expand on that with 5. And yes, solid black as a color please.

I guess they feel that the leg and forearm customization would replace the utilities but I personally preferred the utilities. Both would be great though

343i should definititely take a look at Reach in terms of customization. with the capabilities of next-gen power they could make those little things look incredible.

I’d say less is more with armor Customizing. In reach, compared to halo 4, we have far less armor pieces to choose from, but they were a lot more thought through and it feels like they’re really made with heart. All those attachments and stuff makes ur armor really feel complete.

I don’t want to say that having so much to choose from,as in h4, is a bad thing, but for me it feels like quantity over quality. Plus, lets be real, some really awful looking ones.
Still there were some decent new inventions which I’d like to see in H5G. (Unfortunately not aviator, which already seems to be confirmed)

However, as many keep saying, 343 could learn a lesson from reach’s design.

I just felt halo 4’s armor was lacking. The pieces i liked i really do like a lot, but everything else is garbage. Reach I at least felt like I could have used several options.

Would love more options. A good mixture of the sleek armour style from Halo 4 and the bulkier versions from Reach.
