I admit I’ve had my far share of immaturity on Xbox but wow people are taking it super serious. Just had a player messaging me, saying i got “rekt” (even though it’s req’d) like get over yourself kid you went 40-17, I’ve had games 30-0 ,72-4, 43-1 recently and i don’t message players in a unsporty-like manner.
I once congratulated someone on the huge comeback their team made, and he replied with “GEE THANKS BUDDAY XD”. I could feel the sarcasm leaking from his every orifice.
The only thing that really annoys me is when teammates SC me in Infection and WZ.
With each new Halo, a new breed of immature players emerge. I remember in Halo 3, there were only a handful of immature players. Now, it seems to be an infinite amount.

I feel like Halo 3 had the largest amount myself.
I haven’t really run into any players of that sort.

Anytime someone sends me a negative message after a game I respond with ‘Awww do you need a hug?’ Very few people even respond after that.
I got one Hannibal Scorpion my DLC pack. I spawned inside the base and I tested out the main cannon, thought it was great. Since I was alone, I decided to get out and see how the machine gun worked. While I was doing that, some guy spawned inside the base and saw an essentially empty Hannibal sitting right there. As you can imagine, he wanted it. I rushed out, accidently reentered the turret, and got back in again panicking the whole time. Lucky for me I got back in the drivers seat, but he wasn’t happy. As I drove out, he started pounding, Tee-bagging, and shooting me. I know it isn’t a big deal because no damage, but it still annoyed me a lot. And then he messaged me after the game saying “Well I hope I don’t play with you again. Blocked.” Like seriously -Yoink!-? You’re mad because I took my own REQ for myself? But that’s fine, I hope we don’t play again either.
Gamers are just like high school girls. I keep getting older and they keep staying the same age. Which is to say, thirteen.

I don’t think its that there are more immature players. I think it’s as the past players get older they obviously mature. New players come on they seem immature but it’s just cause you are older. Not saying they aren’t immature, they probably are, just as we age the gap of maturity widens.

This is very false. There have always been infinite amounts of immature players. No game has seen more or less than any other.
I love the way grown ups are here discussing immature behaviour in a computer game… lol! Gaming is fun, it’s hardly serious stuff.

I think the point is, we’ve grown to a point to know that we can have fun without being a yoink. That’s the difference.

I love the way you’ve given up trying to swear and just typed yoink… lol!
Anyhow, I get the point. But if you’re going to play games online, you have to expect to see some people messing around. I really don’t know why this surprises anyone. If they’re as mature and grounded as they’re making out, why is people messing around shocking them so much?
I usually message people ‘gg’ if it actually was a good game, or if someone did particularly well against me, then I would message them gg

No, but you go on HWP and post forums about yourself lol. Hard for you to just brush it off huh?
That’s what happens when it’s rated T, more little kids get the game. They were already able to get it at M, but T makes it easier.

This isn’t a change it’s been this way since the beginning of online play or honestly lan parties.

Just parents from the US give a dam about the ESRB rating system. Parents from around the world do not.
