More alien blood and different death animations!

I think there need to be more blood from aliens when you kill them. And also there could be more different death animations, cause i still see a lot of enemies still have same animations from Halo 4.

Blood thread, count me in and agreeing 100%. I want blood back, I’ve stated that many many times before. Sounds like a Commendant Lassard quote lol. I’m not against change, but I feel too many things were removed along the way, blood was one of them. More death animations is also a good idea.

Cool with both ideas. No issues having more death animations available to enhance the experience, and of course the noticeable lack of blood is a departure from the franchise’s roots. Go play CE and then play H5. Absent any other considerations, just observe the blood spatter and you’ll see how far this franchise has wandered from where it started.

on the multiplayer side there needs to be more comedic relief. 343 has completely gone away from the hilarious deaths that bungie’s games had. I miss the death cries and wacky animations when people would die in halo CE 2 3 and reach. In halo 5 you get these extremely bland and boring bag of bones collapsing style deaths. Its realistic i guess but its not satisfying or fun.

Whenever I play mcc i crack a smile multiple times cause killing spartans feels fun and satisfying but in halo 5 they dont make any funny death sounds nor is the death animations entertaining.

These are minor things sure but honestly the little things go a long way toward adding longevity to a multiplayer.

I think the grunts had a good amount of blood in the demo but agree I would like to see more from the other species. Also I’d like to see more blood on the environment after a battle.

More variety in death animations is always welcome too. I actually didn’t pay attention to that in the demo. Does everyone have set animations that repeat when they die or is it not ragdoll?

Of course, there need to be more blood. Like in Halo ce where you shoot keyes in the head, there is so much blood like it should be. Not some clancky spartan deaths in halo 5.

You can see it clearly when Chief shoots 2 grunts one after another with the mangler pistol, they both die the same way as in Halo 4.

I think it would be cool to see different death animations depending on some weapons you get killed by, like getting hit with an energy sword or bayonet.

Ah gotcha. Honestly I see no problem in reusing animations from older games as long as they’re good quality but still I’d like variety.

Blood should be copious, and paint any surface near the enemy. I should be able to melee a Grunt until the ground is permanently stained blue.

Remember the awesome death from an Gravity Hammer in Halo 3? Those were glorious Grifball Games…

More death animations!

yes lol. any explosion physics deaths in halo 2 3 and reach were always satisfying. in halo 5 killing someone with ANYTHING just results in the most boring lifeless ragdoll. when the spartan hits the ground its like they are just a plastic skeleton in heavy knight armor that just collapsed in on itself. Its very realistic i guess but god is it boring to watch. Even at launch when halo 5 was most hype i INSTANTLY noticed how underwhelming and unentertaining spartan deaths were in multiplayer =(

343 can easily make H:I more bloody while still keeping the younger demographic. Heck, DOOM Eternal, in all of its bloody awesomeness, still got a slightly younger demographic with its rather slapstick glory kills, and really OTT violence that makes it rather funny and silly, not disturbing. 343 could strike a middle ground (more blood, slightly less then Halo: CE, but still bloody nonetheless, but less bloody yet rather funny assassinations, that arn’t overly violent.)

sorry if this didn’t make sense im tired I didn’t get much sleep

No worries I get what you’re saying. I just don’t necessarily agree because I want Halo to be more serious and intense. I want it to be a game worthy of an M rating that delves into more mature themes and story lines. I remember playing 343 Guilty Spark on CE, or High Charity on H2, or Cortana on H3 and feeling that spine chilling sensation as I moved through the rapidly decaying scenes unfolding around me. That was some mature -yoink- and it also happens to be a part of Halo’s foundation.

Though I do understand where you’re coming from, and it’s an admirable compromise. I just don’t want Halo becoming campy and slapstick.

I wouldn’t mind more animations to make the NPCs more lively but I don’t feel Halo needs more (or any at all) blood.

Yeah what I mean is more blood, yet violent, yet slightly comedic assassinations, like the one in reach which I’m seeing a lot of recently (because you begged’, where you crush the elites skull. It’s violent, yet not disturbing. That’s what I meant to write, I was just tired :stuck_out_tongue:

It would be great because that is kinda what halo is about. shooting aliens in the head and a huge puddle of purple coming out. halo 5 assassinations looked stupid because no blood. it looked like it was toy knives

They gotta hit that T rating though.

Yes, please more blood like Halo CE, and please bring back the flood/horror elements. I played that -Yoink- when I was 7 and turned out just fine… it’s alien blood… it’s blue…
