More AAs are coming.

But on the bright side, it takes the sting out of not buying my first Halo game since Halo CE.

Here’s a crazy idea. Don’t add all the AAs to the Multiplayer experience. There is no crime in letting people Jetpack and Regen and Camo in Campaign ONLY.

Think 343. Really think. What AAs should only be in Campaign and in Custom games? Let people enjoy the full AA experience in Customs and Campaign and save the Multiplayer experience with addition by subtraction.

I know someone at 343 has some common sense with regard to AA implementation in MP. But is that person allowed to exercise it?

lol

Nope.

yeah good luck with that

Halo 3. Go play it. I however want Halo 4. Not Halo 3.5

While I would not mind it if equipment replaced, or better yet, were included along side of armor abilities, the latter is here to stay. Sorry if you’re letting such a small feature ruin your willingness to buy what could very well be 2012 Game of the Year.

I can’t understand why people want Halo to stay EXACTLY the same. I’ve had Halo CE at launch and been a rabid Halo fan ever since; but recently played it LAN with some friends for nostalgia…and its age is showing. After playing Halo 2, 3, Reach; you can tell there is just a LOT missing. Peoples’ interests change over time and games need to too. If Halo CE was to release TODAY, compared to games like BF3 and MW that give you customization and a reason to keep playing? I bet it wouldn’t have the same fan base and following.

Don’t listen to these people 343i, you are going in the right direction!

> Halo 3. Go play it. I however want Halo 4. Not Halo 3.5

arguments getting really old. Please stop it.

But how will I think I am good at Halo without a surplus of crutches?

I need Camo to snipe.

I need jetpack to control the map.

I need PV to know where people are.

Classic Halo was tooooo hard.

We need fresh and new and borrowing ideas is great and fresh.

Did I mention the words new and fresh yet?

On a serious note Cherno there will be classic playlist so you should buy the game and support classic Halo.

> Halo 3. Go play it. I however want Halo 4. Not Halo 3.5

I don’t think a decent game with no AAs would be anything like Halo 3.

It’s too late man. AAs are in, no use in trying to make a leap for them out. This will be you first halo game not bought, “oh woe is me.”

I believe it was stated in the Halo Bulletin that nothing, other than what we have seen thus far, has been added to the sandbox.

I take this to mean that there will be no new AA aside from the ones currently in the E3 Multiplayer build.

Actually, from how I read it, it sounded like we haven’t been shown all of the weapons and AAs, yet. Frankie specifically mentioned that we’ve only been shown a “small selection” of what the sandbox has to offer. Then again, he may not be talking about AAs. But we also know there are supposed to be more Tac./Supp. packages. I remember them saying something about Camo in GameInformer. I don’t want camo back as an AA, but I doubt we’ve been shown all of the AAs. If these are it, however, I will be pleased.

I realise that you don’t like AA,

But scrapping 3 years of work isn’t gonna do.

Play MLG, play customs.

Nothing else you as a person can do.

all the sensible people here agree with you, however it’s beyond our power to influence 343 this late especially on something so drastic. sure it’s gamebreaking and all competitive aspects are going down the toilet, but there’s nothing we can do and complaining/pleading doesn’t help.

accept it for what it is, even if it’s halo’s downfall, and try to have fun with it.

Maybe you should leave if you can’t accept change in a video game that needs to evolve to stay on top.

You’re going to not buy the game, because of AAs? Which aren’t featured everywhere? I don’t understand the logic.

Classic Halo with Sprint default and a 5 shot BR?

No thanks. Some common sense is what I’m praying for from 343. But I don’t know who’s calling the shots at 343. MS? Day one sales grab? Frankie? Josh Holmes? I don’t understand the design philosophy at all from a Halo perspective. I don’t see a Halo game being made. Something is coming, but I don’t see Halo at all. I see a game that’s going to be impossible to balance. I see comments from 343 about balance based on usage which is horrifying and embarrassing and shameful.

I see a group of designers who aren’t very good at the game they are making who are also convinced they understand why the community is taking issue with decisions when they have no concept why the community has these issues on a fundamental competitive level. There is a disconnect. There is a false reality between how 343 is testing the game with full teams of 4 to what will happen when players go in alone. I see no individual player empowerment, which kills the fun of going into MM alone.

I also see slow killing weapons combined with AAs and Default Sprint and Personal Ordinance Overshield. Okay. So what I see is 343 having no direction or strategy or understanding of the monster they are making. Its an insult to Halo fans these guys are putting Halo in the title of this game. They need to start over and delay this game for three years. I’ve been designed out of my favorite franchise and I don’t think 343 appreciates this.

You won’t get any supporters here, only noobs who don’t know what true Halo is comment on this website. I do support this, but I will be one of your only supporters.

I’m sorry… you call REACH work? Reach was a year old project with next to no effort on it, then they just slapped the Halo title on it to sell it.

> all the sensible people here agree with you, however it’s beyond our power to influence 343 this late especially on something so drastic. sure it’s gamebreaking and all competitive aspects are going down the toilet, but there’s nothing we can do and complaining/pleading doesn’t help.

Opinions…

Don’t blantly generalize everyone who supports Halo 4 as non-sensible.

It was somewhat gamebreaking in Reach, and some “competitive” aspects aren’t easily seen… but that doesn’t mean 343i csn’t learn from it and improve.

343i have already proved this. Armor Lock is gone, replaced by a Shield AA that functions how Armor Lock should have. Jetpack is apparently being nerfed, the hologram appears as an enemy.

And just because you can’t use them competitively doesn’t mean they can’t.
