Yeah so lately I’ve seen online that some people think RvsB will end because Monty died recently. Which makes no sense because he didn’t make the show it was 7 seasons in when he joined RT. I mean I know he created the awesome action scenes which might not be in the show anymore. But honestly I can’t see the show ending because he died recently. Hell Miles tweeted a teaser poster for it recently. I mean maybe if Bernie died it might end (that’s a big maybe) but not Monty. The man did not create the series he just helped with it starting with season 8. I’ve seen tweets like from one of the VA’s making it sound like the fate of RvsB is in the air. I understand not focusing on it right now because Monty died but it’s almost April and it should be airing soon. I just can’t see RT ending it because of Monty plus it’s their main cash cow like Halo is for MS. It’s the main reason they’re well known and a pretty big company. Well anyways I just wanted to see what other people thought about this topic. R.I.P. Monty…
PS. I recently saw the first episode of RWBY and needless to say I didn’t like it. So I decided to express my opinion of how and why I didn’t like it on Youtube (no not in a video) in the comments section for the first episode. Needless to say the fanbase was not very happy and I had to disable comments for my post. I didn’t realize the RWBY fanbase was so bloodthirsty if you don’t like RWBY.
PSS. I know this is my second topic about RvsB but I couldn’t log into my account on RT’s official site.

The fate of RvB is not in the air. It was already a well-established series by the time Monty came it. RT can do whatever they want with their series, so you shouldn’t be expectant of things to come until they state it.

Needless to say you expressed your opinion at the most worst of times. You went in willingly with the possibility of criticising / expressing opinions negatively, knowing full well that Monty’s passing would have a large effect on the RT fanbase. It was pretty foolish from an outsider’s perspective and I’m not surprised that you got ripped into.

This.
Also keep in mind you were on YouTube; a place where any opinion will get bashed and beaten.
EDIT: I was under the impression that Monty stopped working with Red vs. Blue after season 10. If so, why would Monty’s death have any effect on RvB?
Pretty sure the show will go on. What did Burnie say? “As long as you guys keep watching it, we’ll keep making it.” Think that’s how it went.
I’m curious if they will get new animations going instead. I will miss Monty though. The scenes he made were great.
IMO the passing of Monty is still to close for Roosterteeth to talk about these kind of things.
And it would be more than rude for fans to expect clarity from them so soon

Yeah well I just got around to watching it plus I doubt it would have made difference even if he was still alive. What was I supposed to do not say anything…ever? Isn’t that what the comments section is for? Criticism and opinions no matter if they’re positive or negative? His death shouldn’t shield the series from criticism that’s not fair. Are people going to tell me if the Twilight authoress dies that nobody would be allowed to express negative opinions of her work anymore? I’m surprised (kind of) that the RWBY community is so vile and wretched. It’s like anything less than praise is a death sentence. Seems like everywhere I go people want my head for not lying and giving the show praise. Monty’s death shouldn’t be an excuse to shield his show from anything that isn’t positive. That isn’t right at all…

If Monty had survived, yeah, it probably wouldn’t have made a difference, apart from you being bashed less, thats a certainty. I’m not disagreeing with you in saying his passing shouldn’t shield the series from criticism, but you went into a cesspool of people reeling from his passing and well, to be honest not behaving like they way he’d wished them to be.Communities all have their vile critters, much like the Halo community, there is certain people who take things too far. I’m a fan of RWBY. I like it. I think it’s a decent job for a Western styled anime. Is it cheesy? Yes. Is it predictable? Ehh, I’d give it a 50/50. I mean there are moments in the series that probably could have been handled better, but I am a voice on the internet, I have no say in what happens to something that’s already made.
Point is, to me it’s enjoyable. I wouldn’t praise it, but I wouldn’t bash it either.
Besides, for an anime it’s got a pretty badass Original Sound Track.
Oh and to add, don’t worry about the bashing. I’ve seen actual ungrateful people complain about the fact that because of Monty’s passing they didn’t get to see their daily AH video.

No I was aware that people wouldn’t be happy I went into it well aware of that. I posted it because I wanted to give my opinion about it because that’s what humans want to do. And while I don’t like RWBY I actually think the Japanese version I found on YouTube to be tolerable not great but tolerable. Mostly because the voice acting isn’t that bad. Still has the flaws of the original series but it’s a tiny bit better so there’s that. I mean I managed to watch 2 episodes that’s more than what I was capable of doing with the original show.
In a different situation people would probably have said “Fair enough, some like it, some don’t.” I forgot what I was going to say next but it was something along the line of people are grieving because of a great talent that was lost. I’ve followed Monty since 2007, when Haloid was released. Even back then he had amazing talent for someone so young.

Oh yeah I remember seeing his videos on Game Trailers they were pretty good. Monty wasn’t great with story but he was very good with action. Which was probably why him and RT worked really well together on RvsB. Main reason I brought him up with RvsB in this thread is because I remember seeing a tweet from Ruby/Kimball’s VA saying that both shows fates’ are in the air. And some people seem to think that Monty’s death could cause RT to cancel it which is odd.
