I’d like to know if they retconned things from halo 5’s story.
In all demos so far we havent heard anything about cortana or the created. Are we still fighting prometheans and the created? Or have they been replaced by atriox and the banished? Or do we fight both?
I think hearing about the sandbox this week is a good start. It’s the foundations of the game, the core of the experience. So I’m pretty happy with that.
I think over the next few months bid definitely like to see more details on design philosophy and show us some more weapons & armours.
I doubt we’ll see any single player and deep multiplayer reveals until after E3 or whatever Xbox Showcase event happens. Though when we do get those details I’d love to hear about what single player play space is like, what we can expect to see and explore. For multiplayer, some details on what we can do for armour customisation and details on Spartan companies - that’s such a huge thing for me.
The only thing I think that’s appropriate to be seeing now is multiplayer and art assets. Infinite flighting is set to happen at some point this year, if its more than a server test it’s gotta be happening soon. Seeing how the game will run in what usually is a spoiler-free environment just seems like an obvious choice for these monthly updates.
If they want to show off some of the development process and progress on issues from the gameplay trailer, that would be cool too, but I figure it would make more sense to instead have a big “improvement” reveal at E3 this year.
All great topics I would like to see discussed. I’m sure I could add many more points I’d like to hear about if I thought about it but three off the top of my head that I’ve been wanting to know for a while now is:
I want a full explanation of the coating system. Explain to me why we can’t have that coating system AND the standard primary/secondary system. Why does it have to be either or? So far it just sounds like BS.
What playlists are we going to have at launch? PLEASE have a well balanced comp playlist out the gate without equipment.
Starting with the sandbox is a good idea, show us the world we’re going to be playing in and show us the toys we get to play with. I won’t be disappointed if 343i don’t show anything new and exciting, if they start the hype train now players will be dissatisfied with the final product as in their mind it was so much better.

Addressing your first point:
Any surprise second threats should be left a surprise. Many characters in the campaign should be left a surprise. I don’t think knowing the entire story before playing the game is ever a good idea.
I would say, personally, that I’d prefer the campaign focus merely tell us exactly what kind of ‘open world/linear game’ we’re getting, while including some of the enemies, weapons, and vehicles that we will get to see.
I do agree with Forge, though. That is high on my list of things I want to see. But, before that, I would like to see what the multiplayer will be launching with.
I would like to see the alleged day-night cycle in action, and perhaps some clarification on how campaign missions will work/are structured.
Is it more like the older games where you play the missions in sequence and can also select them individually from a menu?

Yep. Nothing major about the campaign story. Keep it simple.
Would love info about Forge / Scripting / Backend API. So much fun to be had!
But really, what I want is for them to come clean with the controversial points. Show us the movement mechanics. Show us the coating system in all it’s glory. Show us the ranks. Detail what we can expect for MTX. That way everyone can work through their various stages of depression and then get on with it.
Point 9. Micro transactions. I want to know more about the monetisation and the unlock system in the campaign. It’s going to be a deciding factor on whether I drop cash day one or wait for the sales, or even consider a second hand disc. I used to pre order every legendary or collectors edition of Halo game.
That included Halo 5 but I went dark and didn’t realise the req loot crates were in it. I know there are no req loot crates in Halo Infinite but dropping our basic colours and replacing it with armour coatings they can egregiously monetise and paywall has me worried, so no pre order at this point from me. I need the info.
Sadly I think this is a bullet point they’ll be less than candid about before release, hope I’m wrong though.
Edit. I didn’t mention multiplayer for a reason. That’s because it’s free to play, I’ll download it and try it, if it’s fun I’ll play it, and if not I’ll uninstall and move on like I did with Apex. I think they should cover multiplayer monetisation for those that will buy cosmetics though.

If the flood is in the campaign i’d rather have that they wouldnt say anything about it, i would like to have that the player gets suprised by the flood when playing the campaign
