So first off, I would just like to say that I was skeptical of these updates at first, since lots of the content we are getting really should have been in the game at launch. However, I do believe that they have lots of potential if 343i were to take them one step further, and make them more unique and original. I just watched this video discussing an idea for an update based around halo reach, and I thought it would be really awesome so I decided to share my own ideas for future updates, and I would love for you to discuss your own ideas in the comments below. Monthly Update Idea 1:
Name: Remember Reach (same idea as in the video above)
Maps: Remake of classic Halo: Reach maps that would work in halo 5. I’m thinking of Sword Base for arena and Boneyard for Warzone (or Btb, since we only have forge maps).
Gametypes: Invasion, Firefight (PvE warzone), stockpile, headhunter.
Vehicles: Revenant, Falcon
Armour: Emile’s armour (the helmet would look so awesome with the skull scratched into it if we could change the visor colour), Kat’s armour with the robotic arm, and Jun’s armour. These sets would need to be scratched up and realistic to look like the classic armours though. Also maybe a brand new armour set with Reach’s style would be nice as well, but normally we only get two new sets per update. Maybe they could make an EVA armour skin with a skull scratched into the visor.
Weapons: Grenade launcher, Halo reach AR, (halo reach DMR?), focus rifle, needle rifle, and maybe even the classic looking shotgun.
Extra: Forge world canvas, they already said they were making new forge canvases, so this would be amazing, especially because nobody would be expecting it.
Monthly Update Idea 2:
Name: A flood of new content (very cheesy, I know) XD
Maps: Urban warzone map for a 24 player infection gamemode, lots of buildings to enter and some vehicles. Nighttime, rainy setting like ODST. Since this would be a lot for them to make, no other maps would be necessary, since they can use forge maps for classic infection.
Gametypes: Infection (with lots of custom game options), and a new Warzone gamemode that is infection with 24 players.
Vehicles: Transport hog, like the one in Halo 3’s campaign. Pretty much a scout warthog with seats in the back.
Armour: Something very realistic and gritty, that looks like it has been used to control flood outbreaks.
Weapons: Flamethrower, classic shotgun, flood claw (humans can pick up?)
Extra: Nothing else, since it would be a lot of work to do the previous things.
Monthly Update Idea 3:
Name: Hammer and Anvil
Maps: 2 or 3 new forge canvases with different themes (we need a sandy one like sandtrap from halo 3, and one where you can go underwater without dying. Or maybe just update alpine so you can set it so you can go underwater).
Gametypes: The one from halo reach that allowed you to set one object as the objective and another as the goal. This allowed for many awesome minigames.
Vehicles: Just as many as you can make so we can use them in forge, maybe some civilian vehicles. Or let us design vehicles in forge if that’s possible? Maybe make an invisible vehicle that we can weld things to, so we can design whatever we want.
Armour: Fan favourite classic armours
Weapons: New, original weapons!

Monthly Update Idea 4:
Name: Fan Service
Maps: Take popular forge maps and turn them into developer maps (makes the development process shorter and helps get the community more involved).
Gametypes: Make a poll where people can suggest brand new gametypes and the one with the most votes wins.
Vehicles: Community-designed vehicles that are voted on.
Armour: Community-designed armours that are voted on.
Weapons: Community-designed weapons that are voted on.
