If you’ve logged onto Halo 5 recently or watched a Halo 5 video in the past week then you’re likely aware of the new Month of Mythic deal in Halo 5. On offer currently is $10 usd for a Prophet’s Bane cert, another possible Req and 12 Prophet’s Banes, now I ask you all what do you think of this ? Are you in favor of people being able to just buy weapons that or do you detest this ? Personally as someone who has everything and has never spent any cash on Req Packs I find it ridiculous. But let me know what you guys think
I don’t care. I have had everything for 8 months and I have plenty in stock. Most people that run wz a lot do as well. I’d rather get them by playing myself, but I have no problem with people that can’t play as much having the option to get them too. They’d have to buy a lot of packs to get as many as I already have anyway. People saying it will make wz unbalanced must not realize how many of us already have a stockpile anyway. This won’t make much difference.
ok Im going to say this (please dont lynch me for this) I think they are fine, they are a pretty good way to allow people like myself and many others to gain those crazy cool weapons without having to hope for RNGesus’s blessing, but I can see how they could be considered pay to win.
i dont see the problem with it to be honest. I don’t even think i have it(i rarely play warzone) and i see it there and im still just meh. if someone wants to pay money to guarantee they get it, then that is more power to them. Pun intended. Im going to play the game and get it eventually anyway, or i pay for it, and still play and probably rarely use it. so to me, again, whatever.
Also, something I didn’t think of on my other thread. For months and months and months people have complained that purchasing REQ packs is like the lottery. And how people wished they could just buy what they want…so now you can go ahead and buy what you want…and people are still against it. Just something that just came to mind.
It honestly seems like people demand the ability to buy certain Reqs ie a ground vehicles pack, air, etc and when 343 gives it to them they freak out. I can see both sides of the isssue where people are worried this is the first step to allow MS to just put more transactions in H5 and possibly H6 which is totally possible. On the other hand it is nice for some novice players and people that don’t want to RNG it, the counter to that being: If we can just buy them it devalues the item. It’s certainly a touchy subject especially when you consider that months back Halo 5 in game transactions generated 1.5 million (usd) and I doubt Req sales have declined which leads me to ask were does all that money go ? I sincerely hope that it goes to more post launch content. No more adding in things that were cut out add new things in, sorry for the mini rant

I completely agree with letting people get cool stuff but they’re stealing from you, 10$ for a certification is a little bit ridiculous lets say you buy it, ok you to warzone u get ur prophets bane and as soon you spawn you get killed so you repeat the process indefinitely so in a single game you can waste up to 5 dollars in prophet’s banes
Also does anyone know why alot of the posts that are complaining are locked?? Does 343 dont want us complaining about this?

oh I know how to use it properly, I wouldn’t say they are stealing from you either, the game doesn’t encourage you to use it as much as you can, nor is it forcing you to even buy the pack, all of that is your choice.
anyway all the threads about the complaints are prolly getting locked since there is waaaaay to many of them, and they do tend to clutter the forum and overshadow other stuff that people would like to see or talk about. Also on a side note the moderators that are probably locking the threads are not employed by 343.
I think that 343i knows that it will lose a substantial amount of players next month with the release of Gears of War 4 and Titanfall 2. So a month long event is a last stitch effort to milk those players that are waiting to jump ship.
My only issue is the price, its just to much for just the Profits Bane.

^ this. Monitors are volunteers, we’re not employed by 343. We generally lock topics if there are multiples of the same, keep discussions from fragmenting and filling the forums.
