Monopolized achievement not popping

I recently completed halo 2 on legendary in 2 hours and 57 minutes, some missions were done using CO OP and others i did solo. But the achievement hasn’t popped, anything I can do to fix this?

Make sure each of the mission times are actually recorded by the game. There’s a nasty glitch (I don’t know if it is still around after MCC’s big revision) where loading into a Halo 2 mission at the final checkpoint of the mission and then completing it would prevent the game from recording your time. That’s what kept me from getting my achievement, at least, I just had to make sure the last checkpoint didn’t get Save/Quit on.

i mean i checked my halo 2 stats and it said that the fastest completion time for legendary was 2 hours and 57 minutes

You have to check all your individual mission times-- if a mission has none recorded on Legendary, you’ll have to re-run the level.

Check their times. Completion ultimately means nothing to the achievement if there are no times recorded.

In Halo 2: Anniversary, select Missions and then you should be able to move over each mission and toggle the Top 5 Friends option so that it says Speed Run, and make sure Legendary is selected. If your time is not listed there, the game doesn’t recognize a time for that mission on Legendary.

i checked each mission and they all have recorded times but the last 3 missions i did solo, would that affect it?

I did all mine solo, but since the 3-hour speedrun achievements can be done with co-op (and is the easiest way to do 3/ODST/4/Reach’s 3-hour speedruns) I don’t think it should affect it. Then again, when I got mine I did it either all solo or all co-op, so there’s a possibility it could affect it. Make sure each mission has a recorded time, and perhaps replay The Heretic and The Armory just to make sure you have those completions on Legendary. If all missions have a recorded time and the total time is under 3 hours, you may have to play them all solo or all co-op as otherwise…i’m not sure what to tell you. Perhaps restart the game and see if anything changed.

Sorry this is such a hassle, man. :frowning:

i replayed the first 2 cut scene missions and it didn’t pop, ill just probably have to do the last 3 missions on co-op idk

Yeah, you’ll probably have to do that. At least Uprising is a very quick run, and High Charity isn’t a very long mission. Great Journey is probably where you’ll spend a bit more time, but honestly not having to do Gravemind (assuming you have a decent time) is probably a relief!

If you’re confident that all your best times solo or coop equals less than 3 hours, it could take a couple days to register.
That happened to me before, I never saw it pop up but eventually after a couple days I check and the achievement was complete.

Also after looking at your Waypoint service record, you’ve completed part of H2 legendary solo and the other part on coop. So the game is showing you Halo 2 completion difficulty as “Normal”. I think you need to play through the first 5 missions on solo legendary so that you can complete your solo progress.

I just finished the rest of the missions on co-op, so i added the times up and I finished every mission on co-op on legendary in 2 hours 58 minutes and 59 seconds. I’ll probably just have to wait for the achievement to pop like you said.
