Mongoose Mowdown Achievement

I need help getting this Achievement.

There are three problems:

  1. Nobody stays out in the open for long.
  2. When I do hit players, they don’t die.
  3. Everyone focuses on me for easy kills.

Please help.

try, try, try. As a person with every halo 3 achievement, I can say that that was one of the easier ones to get. Jut wait until you want to get the “double double” achievement.

Double Double was easy.
Mongoose Mowdown is much more difficult.

Pfff…just be glad it isn’t as hard as Overkill achievement. I still need to get my hands on that one personally…

To me the overkill achievement is both easier than mongoose mowdown and the one where you have to kill two banshees with 1 laser shot.

I would recommend epitaph in Lone Wolf. Either grab a shotgun and re-generator, or stay top where the rocket spawn and shoot down on everyone.

Mongoose Mowdown and Two For One are definitely two of the harder achievements to get.

Ummmm…What? There is no achievement for killing 2 Banshees with 1 laser shot. Theres an achievement for killing 2 other players with a single laser shot in Lone Wolves (Two for One), but thats it.

If you mean the campaign achievement “Too Close to the Sun” (which is the only achievement for destroying a Banshee with the Spartan Laser), then thats one of the easiest to do.

  • You only need to destroy 1 Banshee
  • it can be destroyed with either the Spartan Laser or Missile Pod
  • it can be done in any ranked playlist or campaign (the easiest option since there are multiple times throughout the campaign to earn this achievement).

oh my. I meant the 2 for 1 achievement. double double was easy.

As someone who got the 2 kills for 1 Splaser shot in one of their first H3 MM games I still have not gotten this achievement. Is it just me or is that weird?

Mongoose Mowdown takes a loooot of luck just like other multiplayer achievements. The way I got it was going full speed down High Ground, from the ‘high ground’ down to the beach and nailing somebody while they were attacking someone else. It’s all luck unfortunately.

FFA on Isolation. Run someone over when they’re busy fighting someone.

As a guy who only has half the achievements in H3, I feel for you man.
I’m still working on that 2 for 1. Mongoose Mowdown was difficult for me. I lost so many games trying to splatter someone. But I stuck with it, and now I wear the Scout armor to show what I accomplished.
But I was always amazed how players were able to splatter simply by zig-zagging around. When I tried it, got killed.

Keep trying guys. It’s a pretty fun achievement to get.
