Both near impossible to get. Why?
Because the Scorpion is only on Exile, and you have to either a) be lucky enough to have your grenade blow up the tank, not any of the other 50 million thrown by your teammates, or b) manage to plant a grenade through the driver’s hatch to blow it up.
You might have noticed I didn’t mention getting on the back of it, and that’s because it doesn’t count towards the commendation if you melee it to death (Also you can’t throw a nade down the back, but that’s a bit off topic…)
Mongooses: Well its much more fun to kill the driver and then have the passenger a sitting duck, but putting that aside, the ONLY weapon capable of destroying the full health mongoose without first killing the driver, is the Splaser, and if you hit the tires with the laser, you’ll do next to no damage… (Also a wraith bomb will destroy it, but most people don’t ride towards a wraith on a quad bike…)
So, basically anyone going for commendations would like to see a map in Halo 4 along the lines of Rasu (Reach), that is a map with two scorpions, so that which ever side you are on you have a chance to blow one up! We’d also like to see the Mongoose take a pretty substantial health reduction, seriously it’s ridiclous how a quad bike is more durable than a warthog or spartans…
And currently they expect us to get 135 Mongoose destroys…?
