Monetizing Halo videos, question.

I trying to understand exacting what Microsoft means about us being able to monetize videos. I understand that Microsoft has changed their parameters on the matter but I was wondering if anyone could give me a clear understanding what it takes to monetize my game clips, I’ve recently started my own Youtube channel and I have a few videos up from Top 5 things still wrong with Halo: TMCC to Top 5 game clips from Halo: TMCC volume #1. Just trying to see if anyone could give me a understanding on how this works and whats required to monetize these videos therefore I don’t get penalized, since I cant get ahold of anyone with experience.

It’d be nice to see a response to this or at least a stickies FAQ about such things somewhere for each of the games or just in general because I can’t find an answer either.

I’ll try to clarify this to what I seem to understand. Using their in game gameplay footage to create original videos and content is OKAY to push to the public for entertainment.

Montages, story telling, Machinima (Like Matchmaking, or RVB)

Using their music, and cutscenes to be delivered to the public is NOT okay.

There are exceptions to this rule that you may need to get msoft or 343’s permission. I.E. A music video utilizing their music and cutscenes. Essentially, Edits alone probably aren’t enough to allow you to monetize anything. Especially in regards to their music.
