When I first got Halo 4, I performed very well. Eventually my loadouts started to fail, my aim got worse, and nothing seemed to work for me. I kept changing my loadouts but I could get nothing that I was satisfied with.
Just today, I have come back from a great losing streak. I finally made 5 great loadouts. Funnily, these loadouts are based off of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, what loadout each Turtle would use if they were playing Halo 4. My 5 loadouts are called, “Leader, Runner, Powerhouse, Inventor, and Master.” For the first time ever, I placed a Suppressor and Covenant Carbine in 2 separate loadouts. I had never placed these weapons in a loadout before. I had used them in matchmaking after picking it up from dead Spartans but I had to agree with the Waypoint community that these guns seriously sucked. But they don’t. My loadouts perfectly compliment these two inferior weapons. I used to go negative or slightly positive, but I tested these new loadouts on multiple games on the new “Community Forge Test” playlist and I’m getting Killing Sprees, Killing Frenzies, and Running Riots now. I have found out that Jetpack, Mobility, and Dexterity, really go well with the Suppressor. I was running around the entire map, using a jetpack to drop behind someone and go in for the assassination or spray with the Promethean automatic. I picked up a rocket launcher and I flew with my jetpack like a phoenix over everybody, blasting everybody down. Dexterity helped me to reload fast and survive through so much.
My conclusion is that the Suppressor and Carbine are WAY better than the other weapons in the right situations.
Although Halo 4 could have been 21x better, there is already so much to love about this game. I love how no matter how money hungry 343 and Microsoft is, they are still making an effort to provide a great experience for it’s players and fix what they have done wrong. Doing well in Halo 4, all the fun Custom Games (even though it’s been significantly stripped down, at least we have it and it can still be VERY fun), the fast-paced “Holy Crap!” gameplay - moments like these are why I love you Halo 4.
I love those moments too.
Yeah man, I feel as if Halo 4 was just rushed. If it had been under development for another year or two, I think we would all be enjoying the Halo 4 experience a lot more than right now.
But it had to compete against other titles like Black Ops 2, and it’s not long before the next-gen consoles comes out.
I’m still on my “oh mai gawd I can haz BR and AR with sticky nades start!” mode. I use the jet pack and radar always on…I know I should experiment, but you know us old Halo players, we don’t like ANYTHING new…LOL
PS, I’m one of those who love the jet pack and dedicated sprint button, so there ;)~

I love how jetpack is toned down in this game than from Reach. In Reach, you could fly around the entire map for almost half a full minute. In Halo 4, it just gives you that short altitude boost.
Loadouts can be imbalanced, but what I love about them is it brings so much strategy into the game. You need to ask yourself the question, “What do I need for [each] combat situation/scenario?” I also love how even though you are a better player, you can still lose fights. Halo 4 is a combination of skill and preparation. It depends on how good your aim is, and if you are prepared for each situation by bringing the right tools into battle to give you the small advantage that you need.

Now someone who gets and understands the new loadout sandbox!
This will happen in every new playlist you try. Each playlist has its individual record. The more you do good, the system learns to put you in with harder enemies… Eventually your performance will feel like its dropping but that’s only because your enemies are just as skilled as you… Ish

Is this true? Can you confirm it?
Well, I used to kill EVERYBODY with my trusty AR back in the beginning but now I need to go for the headshots. I thought that the players I got matched up with just got better.
I’ve noticed however, that if I play with my friends who have bad stats, that I perform better. I never knew the matching system tried to pair you up with players of similar skill levels. Does it pair you up with weaker players if you do really bad in War Games?
