Is this actually a new map? Something about it makes me feel like it’s a remix of The Rig.

Oh, ok. I wasn’t entirely sure because I didn’t remember it being stated that Molten was a remix. All the updates and stuff just call it a new map.

Yeah it is a remix of The Rig, but i really enjoy the gameplay and aesthetics of the map
It’s a remake of the Rig, but the only thing actually similar between the two is the presence of the Rig’s BR Tower as Molten’s Eastgate. Otherwise the rest of the map is brand new and acts as Halo 5’s second red map.
It’s a great map though, both gameplay and skybox.

I’m not saying that I don’t agree with your “feels” lol… it does feel like a different map.
That’s why I was saying that it was well done actually, because a couple of the remixes have felt pretty lazy and too similar to their base counterparts.
I like it but it seems like the fighting is all done in the Hallway between the two main rooms.

Actually, I don’t think it is a remix of The Rig. Judging from the concept art, it definitely did start out as a remix. However, none of the geometry (other than the BR tower) is the same. I think 343i took our criticism of remixes to heart, and completely changed up the map into something unique. So while it did start its life as a remix, it evolved into its own thing.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way. The map looks nice, but half the time I’m on it combat takes place in just one particular area.

The lava-fall side of the map shares geometry, or modified geometry with The Rig… Bunker? Tower 2/Snipe?
The overall space of this section of the map is roughly the same, yet heavily modified.
I see your point though, and I largely agree, but you can still tell that it is a remix. It’s just a remix done right!

Yes, but this map is so well done that you can’t even tell it’s a remix. Feels like an OG map.

I agree. It’s not something Im used to seeing/experiencing in Halo 5
It is a remix of rig but I’ll even say that I like it. it feels entirely different all due to the magma atmosphere

I know it’s in Super Fiesta and SWAT, and am pretty sure it’s in Slayer. Not sure about Team Arena though.
