Mods

I wish there was a way that the mods people make for Halo could be used on the game system and not just a PC you tthink the people at 343 Industries could figure out how to make this work one particular mod I would love to try is called Ruby’s rebalanced for legendary but since I don’t have a PC or a gaming PC and can’t afford one right now that will probably never happen

¿What do you mean with “on the game system and not just a PC”?

You dont need a gaming pc for that. a half decent pc or laptop would do the job. my old laptop was i3-7 gen 16 gb ram and intel integrated graphics. can run mcc easily (for the most part). the mods would be easy to use if there was a proper system . currently you have to replace the files which is annoying and i have lost the og files many many times

Well first off I’m guessing you know the difference between a game system and a PC but the mods are only available on the computer not the game system I wish 343 was able to find a way where people who prefer the game system could use these mods on the Nexus but unfortunately to my knowledge there is no way to do that with the game system if 343 Industries could find a way where we could use the mods on the game system it could be like a separate game mode or something there’s two particular mods I would love to try in particular

  1. is SPV3 which was a mod for the entire first Halo game

  2. is called Ruby’s rebalanced for legendary in Halo 2 it tweaks the legendary making it play more like Halo CE legendary because a lot of people have mentioned how Halo 2 legendary it’s basically one of the most difficult legendaries in all the Halo games and is pretty much an aneurysm inducing

I think he means Xbox/Console.

It would be cool if consoles got an option like Fallout 4 and Skyrim for mods. I doubt it’ll happen, but with Bethesda being a part of Xbox now they could give some tips on the matter.

Yeah downloading external map files to a reserved space like The Bethesda titles really wouldn’t be that hard

I know, I’ve been waiting for years, for Halo to officially support fanmade expansions like Valve or Bethesda.
And now that’s true on the PC version, but whether or not console players being worth it in that regard is up to the devs.

This is very plausible as it could be a fileshare feature, unless it required the moving of files such as maps as the Xbox doesn’t allow directory access outside of the devmode feature which is a Microsoft concern and not something 343 Industries would be able to bypass(educated guess not fact). I have always wanted to be able to see mods shared on the Xbox. Reminds back when you could have an Action Replay and modders would create new Halo 2 campaigns, you could share that way back then. Who knows maybe a fileshare feature will become a thing for portable mods. I too would enjoy this, but I have also been wanting the ability to play offline with bots since Halo 2. When people would say “they don’t have that kind of technology for that” then you see games like Counter Strike ported to Xbox with that exact feature. Sorry rambling… yes to mod sharing.

I wonder what mods you’re talking about because the halo modding scene really isn’t that big

You really don’t need that much horsepower to run the older halo games on PC tbh. With $100-200 tops you could buy a Dell Optiplex plus an old graphics card and run MCC just fine.

Maybe they could make a way for friends to share mods or do requests, but there’s no reason one couldn’t afford a low end, older PC for low spec gaming if they can afford a console.

I wonder if they will provide support for Halo CE SPV3 that was for Custom Edition, be cool if they give us free reign to make custom campaigns.
