Modification Idea: Reducing Recoil and Bloom

This is exactly what the title describes; a modification that steadies your aim by reducing, or removing, recoil and bloom significantly, in order to allow faster and more efficient firing. As a player who likes to use the DMR, I would not want to have to wait for bloom to be reduced after every shot like in Reach, although this would also be useful on a weapon such as the Sniper Rifle (recoil), or any other weapon that uses recoil or bloom to reduce firing rate and accuracy.

Thoughts on this?

Specializations are not modifications, they are two different things.

So I take you mean a steady aim mod?

If you do, I don’t know…

> Thoughts on this?

No matter how you describe it, you’re going to get the bitter taste of CoD flames soon.

Are you crazy?! Suggesting that without a flame suit?! Good god man, have mine! Hands over flame suit. Good luck, you’ll need it!

Cange your title to Armor Mod.

Specializations are completely different.

No thank you. Now I can see why people were worried about 343i making so many changes to the franchise, because even the fans are having terrible ideas (no offense) that are ill suited to the game.

The thing with 343i is that their current perks (specs whatever) don’t have game-changing effects to core mechanics like weapon damage, health or how guns work, what you’re suggesting not only breaks weapon balance and screws w/ killtimes, but puts me at a major disadvantage if I am not using it, as aim means a lot in a game with long killtimes. Making one perk a lot better than the other is not good when you want to encourage a versatile sandbox…

So I am completely opposed to that idea.

And faster shield regeneration doesn’t screw with killtimes?..

Actually it doesn’t. Your shields aren’t going to recharge when you’re being shot at…

It would be neat if bloom was on the majority of weapons (including the BR) and you could equip a perk that does reduce the bloom rate. Maybe even include an Ordance Drop that reduces bloom or something.

No, but say we were shooting at each other; you could just hide behind a corner and your shields would recharge significantly faster than mine, you could come back around the corner and catch me off guard, as my shields have not recharged unlike yours.

That’s not a kill time, that’s just a scenario. A kill time is the amount of time needed to kill someone with the minimum number of shots needed e.g. 4 headshots with the BR in Halo 3 would be <Insert amount of time here>.
