modern cod, i mean halo 4

So when exactly did anyone ask for a call of duty set in 2558
cause that’s all im seeing here

Seriously. What happened to spawn with an AR and a pistol. Pick some stuff up on the map and go to work.

I didn’t invest my nerdom in this franchise to watch a new studio turn it into something totally different.

Bungie made a near perfect game now with 4 5 6 halo will wind up being remembered as " that future call of duty port "

Innovation, you should learn that word, it will come in useful for your understanding of Halo 4.

When more information hits us, we can accurately gauge what Halo 4 will be like. Some things will change before release, we just need to be patient.

there’s a difference between innovation and a franchise canon ending error.

the latter is being committed here.

Trust me, Innovation is going to be a huge part of Halo 4, you seem to have not kept up with anything around here, we have a podcast coming soon to explain everything in the GI article that was explain wrongly.

Oh, so we can use it as an example of what innovation isn’t?

Unless they plan on changing everything they have just announced. Its pretty much hopeless.

take Cortana for instance according to pre established canon she should already have corrupted by now. She IS ALREADY over her 7 year service life.

its not just mechanics they have wrong. its just about everything

Really? Yet another thread? I understand we are annoyed about the changes, but there is already 1000 different threads on this topic. I vote pick one and stop flooding the darn forums.

I also like how you say the loadouts are “worse then Reach” when you haven’t even seen how they work, let alone played with them yet.

I believe Frankie stated they are using trueskill just not in the same way as Reach.

This has nothing to do with cannon – and you say these things by thinking that COD invented them… they did not my friend…

The only issue I have is the joining-mid-game… will ruin win/loss ratios (which I believe a lot of people aim for) by joining a game where you’re already losing…

These are all adualts that have College degrees and have worked on games before. Some have worked at Bungie, Infinity Ward, and many other gaming Studios. 343i has been working on this game for years now and have been closly obsevring the Community. They know what they are doing.

Who says this is innovation?

Who says its not making changes just for the sake of making changes?

Moa, yeah halo 4 is going to be huge,

when does the podcast come out?

Yes because for some reason with MC ending up on a super tech planet the UNSC couldn’t gather information and boost the tech that was already around in the time of Halo: Reach.

OP, you’re implying that COD created those things… sighs

Just go away. And for everyone who thinks this game is turning into COD, go find your common sense cause you’ve lost your mind.

Why did they remove aim down sights???

Oh wait were talking about Halo.

> Take Cortana for instance according to pre established canon she should already have corrupted by now. She IS ALREADY over her 7 year service life.

Cortana is a unique A.I… I’m not going to explain the circumstances surrounding her as I learned about her from Dr Halsey’s journal with pre-order Halo: Reach, but I am going to say this: there is a reason she’s still around and there is a hidden meaning behind why we saved her in Halo 3 and that is a possibility for Halo 4… besides, they covered her rampancy in the G.I. article.

I’d recommend go and reading the new G.I. magazine article.

Spartan points = open for debate if that is going to be the name.

Spartan Op’s = you need to go read about them. we are getting five new missions every week, for free, not as DLC, and it is coming with the game.

PERK’s - It’s about dang time… people have been calling for that since early Halo 3.

Weapons inherent to class? Where on earth did you read that? I just went through the article again and am not getting the idea that certain weapons are only available to a specific classification. Now AA’s being limited until you hit X rank. That’s understandable. What’s the benefit of being a rank 1 private with access to everything? Earn the right to use that kind of stuff.

Skill ranking - We have no idea what they are doing on the MM side of things.

> Seriously. What happened to spawn with an AR and a pistol. Pick some stuff up on the map and go to work.

Natural evolution. People have fought over equipment since Halo 1 in the form of OS and AC. As time grew, we saw more and more fighting not just for that, but for all forms of power weapons (whatever someone might consider a power weapon too). Now we see a move to integrate sprint, something we should have been able to do years ago, into the game as well as taking on the sci-fi realm of things. You think this is a mistake. I disagree.

> I didn’t invest my nerdom in this franchise to watch a new studio turn it into something totally different.

All things change. What was ten years ago is not going to stay the same now. Everything in life changes. Everything.

People like myself are moving forward. Halo: CE, h2, h3, ODST, and Reach players will be joining me. The real question is, will you?

We took a vote last week and those in favor said is was innovation.

Do I really have to remind you that Cortana is not your standard AI? Also, there haven’t been any claims that she WON’T go rampant.
Dont assume anything until we have solid facts.
People believe it will be CoD but fail to realize that the changes are freaking optional. Calm down.

as you can see by my post count i don’t frequent here and have no idea of the volume of parallel thread. I tend to stay in the real halo forums over on bungie.net.

Regardless i have been playing this game since halo 1 pc trial edition and am a fairly accurate gage of what is and isn’t halo from talking to the people that made it for a very very long time. The direction they are taking this franchise is not the way it was ever intended to go. It is beyond its service life. there should be no more halo’s. no 456. The poor thing should have been left in peace.
