Moderators, what's going on here?

I just went through the threads within the past hour or so and saw over a dozen “Falcon phaeton” threads, many of which were basically the same thread. I then saw a sprint thread which was different than the rest that I have seen, since the original poster asked for legitimate reasons why players like sprint rather than just “Halo needs to evolve” and so forth. He/she wasn’t going on a rant like most other sprint threads, but was rather simply asked for other people’s constructive thoughts. Why should this be locked when there are are dozens of other threads that aren’t being locked when they are so much more redundant.

This person’s post wasn’t even a complaint, and regardless, this forum is to discuss anything Halo 5, so topics regarding a dislike in a core game mechanic are just as valid as complaining about a req pack.

At this point, Microsoft probably wants all of the actually constructive criticism they can get since Halo 5’s player count is so low. They know that Warzone (the only playlist keeping Halo 5 afloat) isn’t going to save the franchise.

Moderators, please stay neutral and fair; it’s part of the gig.

Please post a link to that thread, I want to see whether the mods were legitimate in locking it.

You’re that kid who cry for the teacher just because someone called you a name. Let people say what they want and stop crying to mommy to make all the bad noises go away.

Uh, he’s actually saying the mods are “that kid” you refer to.

Probably because the Sprint thread has massive ones that you could post in. The Phaeton one is new

If you have a question like this, feel free to message a mod (although I would recommend linking the thread you’re talking about, as we’d be able to give you actual insight on it then).

This misconception that 343/Microsoft tells us to silence people’s opinions simply isn’t true. The guidelines for punishments and how we moderate were set by 343 a long time ago, but no one has ever come to us and said “Hey, if anyone has any gripes with the game, lock the threads down and ban them if need be.”

Personally, I would hate a forum where everyone agrees with one another. Where’s the discussion value in that?
