Please can you go through these forums and remove or merge duplicate posts. Maybe send the user who posted it a message telling them it was removed because it is a duplication, and a link to the identical post for reference. Because seriously, there has to be at least a good 40 or 50 duplicate posts of the exact same idea on these forums with “new idea” as the subject line. And to the community: please read through the posts to make sure your “new idea” hasn’t already been someone else’s new idea. Thank you.
Yeah, I agree there are a lot of duplicates.
And to those who say this is in the wrong place, I posted it here because really, how many people read the “general discussion” or wherever else it normally goes, forums?
A lot of people do. So, you shouldn’t purposely post in the wrong forum. Just because there is more people viewing that forum doesn’t mean that your thread will go unanswered. For future reference always post in the right forums.
I’m totally in agreement here.
I don’t read half as many of the threads as I probably would due to so many duplicates. I don’t want to read then re-read the same thing over and over again.
I think another thing that would help in this is to have a longer time in between when people can post. Right now it seems some people just want to post pad.
I’d contribute so much more here if the boards were cleaned up. Not to mention there are so many people here who jump on another poster and flame them. It’s ridiculous the bad behavior that is allowed here.
I’ve been a mod on several sites over the years (still am on two) and I wouldn’t allow half of the garbage reply posts that happen here. Certainly I’d be merging posts/threads like mad too.
There is way to much clutter.
I know people are passionate about Halo, but that shouldn’t mean you are allowed to negatively criticize people as much as seen here. Slower posting times would also really impact that behavior.
Okay, I’m repeating myself…
Anyway, please mods, clean up the clutter and negative replies. It makes for a bad forum experience for many of the rest of us who comply with the rules here.
