MODERATOR, PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD! THANK YOU

Ok, so i was watching a Halo video on YouTube, when i stumbled across the comment below. I’m not sure how much belief i should put into this, but at the moment, the location of Halo Xbox One, is still anyone’s guess.

“chief is on installation 03 look at the black clouds and the red planet it is the same one as the one in the composer opening scene! In that cuscene look at the ring it has lights on it that is the location in the concept art! I forgot to mention this but the black clouds are from a volcano(the ring is said to be volcanic also look at the concept art you can see the outline of the halo) at 1 point according to the wiki they trained spartan 4s on the surface explaining why the infinity is there!!! Next part of my theory is that the didact was beamed to installation 03 with the remain of his ship and the composer(watch the scene when cortana died everything started falling but where?.. into the portal! To installation 03 it makes sense because thats where the composer was hidden! Watch the very end of the teaser there are ashes and the rocks were beginning to look like peices of the didacts ship! The ashes are what the composer made when it destroyed the inside of the ship BTW! It is confirmed that the chief is searching he is searching for the didact the librarian is guiding him and she could possibly be on the data chip to STOP the war sphinx from reviving the didact like in halo cryptum and stopping the didact from turning the data from new phoenix into his new promethean army!!! To put this into story prospective chief gets brought to installation 03 and during that time he somehow gets lost in the desert guided by the librarian and he comes accross the wreckage of the didacts ship and finds a war sphinx who might be gaurding the didact or trying to revive him! This theory actually grows off of the h4 campaign instead of just randomly popping up like the mendicant bias theory!”

Concept art

Composer cutscene

Teaser trailer

If you pause the trailer at around 45 seconds, you can see a red spherical shape in the clouds, perhaps confirming the red planet that the lad is talking about. Having said that, The Ark also has a red moon as seen in Halo 3, causing me to remain skeptical. This is indeed only speculation, but i thought i’d share it with you guys, just to get your opinions. I also found it a little far fetched how he says that the Librarian AI could be in the chip, but the rest of it doesn’t sound too bad. So what do you guys think?

The planet in the trailer doesn’t look nearly as broken as the one in the Composer cutscene. The lack of a visible asteroid belt seems to put another dent in the theory. I’d say the person who made the initial comment wasn’t thinking to clearly. Let me break it down.

> "chief is on installation 03 look at the black clouds and the red planet it is the same one as the one in the composer opening scene!

Went through it already.

> In that cuscene look at the ring it has lights on it that is the location in the concept art!

That is fairly debatable. The concept art could be set literally anywhere if the only evidence is lights.

> I forgot to mention this but the black clouds are from a volcano(the ring is said to be volcanic also look at the concept art you can see the outline of the halo)

Why would the outline of the Halo be flipped essentially? No matter where you are on the ring, the curvature is the same.

> at 1 point according to the wiki they trained spartan 4s on the surface explaining why the infinity is there!!!

I checked Halo Nation and it does not cite its source for the training of Spartan-IVs on the ring. Now, there were expeditions on Installation 03 and the Pioneer-variant of GEN2 MJOLNIR was fielded here, Halopedian the other wiki, cites these sources.

> Next part of my theory is that the didact was beamed to installation 03 with the remain of his ship and the composer(watch the scene when cortana died everything started falling but where?.. into the portal!

That would hinge on if the portal was still active after Chief fired the nuke, but it just isn’t all that likely pieces of the Didact’s ship fell through it. I’m just not seeing the possibility.

> To installation 03 it makes sense because thats where the composer was hidden!

Problem being that the portal was quite clearly linked to Requiem. We know the Composed citizens of New Phenoix had their memories placed into Durances, which were on Requiem. The only way for them to do that and make sense would be for the portal to have beamed the data via slipspace back to Requiem.

> Watch the very end of the teaser there are ashes and the rocks were beginning to look like peices of the didacts ship!

He is simply seeing what he wants to see.

> The ashes are what the composer made when it destroyed the inside of the ship BTW!

Wrong.

> It is confirmed that the chief is searching he is searching for the didact the librarian is guiding him and she could possibly be on the data chip to STOP the war sphinx from reviving the didact like in halo cryptum and stopping the didact from turning the data from new phoenix into his new promethean army!!!

NONE of that is confirmed and just idle conjecture.

> To put this into story prospective chief gets brought to installation 03 and during that time he somehow gets lost in the desert guided by the librarian and he comes accross the wreckage of the didacts ship and finds a war sphinx who might be gaurding the didact or trying to revive him! Nah, I’d say the theory is just making things up, seeing what whats to be seen and some good ol’ BS.

Not attacking you, WarmerToast37, just the comment in question.

All good man  It does seem rather senseless, at some obvious points (good thing it ain’t my theory then aye?), i just wanted to see if anyone else here shared this vision. Get peoples’ opinions, stuff like that. Thanks anyway.

Hopefully all will be revealed soon, my best guess is that Master Chief is on an unseen/unheard of planet/forerunner structure.

> Hopefully all will be revealed soon, my best guess is that Master Chief is on an unseen/unheard of planet/forerunner structure.

It seems as if it will happen that way. BUT what possible forerunner installations exist that haven’t been revealed yet? I just want them to get the news out already and put an end to the senseless speculation. It makes me wonder how many worlds we’ll actually see in the game as well. I remember they rumoured 8 worlds, but thats a bit too good to be true.

I think the setting in the teaser trailer is more likely the Ark (Installation 00). The planetoid seen seen in the background at 0:47 in the teaser resembles the Foundry that was located in the centre of the Ark. Not to mention that the Ark had many vast ecosystems across it, one of them being a desert (hence mission 7, The Ark, in Halo 3). Could it be possible that Chief is again searching for the Ark’s Cartographer? Trying to find a specific location in the Forerunner network?

At this point, it definitely seems more plausible to assume that he is in fact on The Ark. As a result, many have speculated that he could be searching for Mendicant Bias, this is extremely likely as it is believed that Bias is the one who lead Chief to Requiem. The War sphinx/seeker, is rumoured to be guarding Bias’ tomb. This rumour has been going on for a while now, though i saw the comment in the OP on YouTube, and thought i’d share it on the forums to get an educated opinion on how likely/unlikely it is, and got exactly what i was looking for. Kudos to Cobra.

Stopped reading at the part where you mentioned you got this from a commenter on youtube. The trash can of discussions.

Probably [CLASSIFIED]. That guy is garbage at making Halo info videos. Its either old news that everybody already knows, or “leaked info” that 343 has already made official a week before.

I will only raise two potentially supporting points to a single part of the theory (that being Installation 03).

The curvature on the top of the concept art could resemble being in close proximity to the outer wall/rim of the ring, if you were looking out to the side.

Also if you look in the distance on the ground of the concept art you can clearly see the beginnings of a Desert on the outskirts of the city.

All the extra stuff was whoey. The Didact wound up perfectly alive back at Requiem, as confirmed partially by the Terminals, and partially by Spartan Ops.

Locked at OP’s request.
