MODE Feedback – Land Grab

I think you’ve done a great job with the win conditions. I actually enjoy the fact that only two zones spawn when a team reaches 9 points, this makes the possibility of a comeback much more realistic than it would be otherwise,

I think the time to capture is in a good spot. It’s short enough that teams need to be urgent about pressuring multiple zones, but long enough that there’s usually enough time to contest each zone regardless of where it spawned.

I don’t think this is true for Behemoth, however, especially since it’ it’s AR/Sidekick starts. It’s not fun when the distance to the zone is to great for it to feasibly be contested. Perhaps, it should take longer to cap on this map.

Shouldn’t these topics be stickied by the way? What’s the point of gathering feedback if only a bunch of people get the chance to see the threads

Lucky you. I don’t have a team.

Although I do enjoy Land Grab, please consider removing Launch Site from the map rotation.

It has multiple vehicle spawns, Rocket/Cindershot spawns, and it is just too big for a 4v4 game type that requires you to sprint to various points on the map

Having now played the game for a week or so. I like it.

I’m not sure we really needed a third zone type match so soon. But hey.

I think there needs to be a little more time in-between zones to allow teams to get a bit more organised.

And it might just be me… but I find it a bit disorientating working out where the zone actually is. I’m kind of getting closer to the waypoint but it’s hard to get a sense of it inside the 3D space. I know the distance number is falling… but it just doesn’t feel like it’s getting closer.

The mode itself is fun, but the zones are just unbalanced.

Zone A is on the spawn of team 1
Zone B is in the corner of one of the 2 sidelines on team 2’s side
Zone C is on the other corner of that sideline or in the middle of it.

This means team 1 has a uncontested zone, while the closest zone for team 2 is one with sightlines to zone C and therefore is imidiately contested (since team 1 can put 3 players foreward sicne zone A can easily be captured by 1 player). This gives team 1 an advantage over team 2.

I think the zones should be distributed a bit more fairly. Give both teams a zone at spawn and put the 3rd one somewhere in the middle. Or put the zones so that the one that doesn’t have lines of sight to another is in the middle of the map and not closer to one of the teams. This would balance the match out more.

It feels and plays like king of the hills distant cousin. Which ever team gets the majority of the first 3 win the game. There is very little fight back chance if you are behind from the start.

Incoming zones should just arrive and not be told when and were incoming. Zones should be more randomised as in certain maps it becomes very predictable

The game mode could do with a rethink if it is going to stay long term
