Modding/Hacking

Now that 343 is running the show, are they actively monitoring matchmaking? It seems there are less people running mods at times, but still way too many. I try to report those who are, but I wonder if they are following up on these. It really hurts gameplay and enjoyment, I have been banned for quitting too much at times, but I would rather quit than allow modders to pad their stats at my expense. If everyone did that, those people would soon find no one will play, and they may either quit or re-think their need to cheat and ruin everyones game so they can pad their stats. When you look on some of these high ranked individuals, some of them have a 3 or 4 to one kill/death ratio. No one is THAT good. It would seem obvious these people need to be looked in on . . . . Just my opinion.

Is no one really that good or is it you just can’t accepting?

Just my opinion of thought. It’s possible if they’re on a good protective team.

I don’t think you are up against modders…

just can’t excepting? Well, not only an apologist, but one that cannot spell. Take your time when you type. I know people that are around 2:1 ratio, and that I know is do-able. I noticed one that had around 70.000 kills and only like18,000 deaths. Again, no one is THAT GOOD. I don’t know why people feel they have to defend this, unless they are also participating in the same behavior (enabling?).

Opnion. I back up with cogent reasoning. Check a lot of the “Forerunners” and such, unrealistic stats. That is a fact. Opinions are like body cavities . . . everyone has one.

Accept it*.

I can spell very well, I just tend to type fast and have been low on sleep.
You like to assume I see. Typical.

How do you know? Do you have proof? I don’t feel the need to “defend this” kind of action but I also tend to read rants like this from people who can’t stand people that are just good. Not saying he is or even could be but even so, without definitive proof, it’s just hearsay and speculative. Suppose this person is like I said just on a very supportive team and been playing since the beginning.

I don’t outright assume about everyone/everything. I like to have perspective from all ends.

The stupid things that make Reach “unique” makes Reach suck, Iv’e only played with 1 modder and that was last year. There is not as many as you seem to think

I have played 7200 games of reach and got lag switched twice and never modded before and only know a single person who it happened to once.
Modding is basicly completly nonexistent in Reach.

People that have a kd of 3 or 4 dont cheat, they just run over bad players in easy playlists all the time.
I have a kd of 1.7 or something but only because I run matchmaking alot alot and most of it in the mlg playlists where it isnt that easy to get a high kd.

My KD in TU-Beta/ Squad slayer is somewhere around 3 and if I would play only with other good players in TU-beta or other easy playlists I could easily get a KD of 5 or 6 with absolutly no cheating involved.

Nobody mods for a high KD they just abuse the horrible skill matching in matchmaking.

Thank you. Well, you made a valid point. Just get frustrated, for example, when in a game yesterday, I emptied a clip from an assault rifle into a guy, hit him, backed off, pulled out pistol and shot 3 rounds into him, he rushed me and I died. At the same time, another guy was spraying him with HIS assault rifle, also hit him, and he killed us both. No one can take THAT much damage and live. Just saying . . .

read my case in point below. Explain how THAT happened . . .

you think im a modder? lul, every game of btb my k/d ranges from 6.0 - 40.0

I get instances like this all the time. It doesn’t always point to a modder.

Okay . . . . so then. can someone explain why this happens, if it is programming (which I highly doubt) then it is a pretty piss-poor job. I am no computer person, but I have a good friend I play with that worked at EA and programmed a lot of games, much more of an authority than most, and he laughed and said “hell yeah!” when I showed him the video I recorded on theatre of the game. So unless someone with more knowlege and experience can clarify this further, then it is.
