MODDED WEAPONS "GLITCH"

This isn’t a negative topic, I swear.

So on forge with the addition of the T1 and T2 Reqs you can “mod” certain weapons. It’s a glitch, but I really hope they intentionally don’t patch it or make another way to do this. All you have to do is spawn a UNSC weapon pad and then from there change the weapon to a req, (not the standard variant) and then switch the base weapon. Want an example? Try this: Set the base weapon to Rocket Launcher and then from there set it to the Ad Vict. variant. After that switch it to a Spartan laser. Do NOT switch Ad Vict or it won’t work! (Tip: set respawn time to 1 if you wanna experiment, because this can be done with almost anything) So far I’ve made a lot, but the fun stuff is a silenced sniper and a plasma pistol that shoots ad victoriam (because it’s an obvious vehicle killer combo) and then a H2 BR that shoots upgraded beam rifle ammo. Have fun while it lasts because it’ll likely be patched!

Forgot to say in my main post but melee weapons don’t work with this, with the exception that they work mutually exclusively (hammer reqs on sword, etc) and you can put bayonets on them but then they seem to lose their main attack, which is funny to then use.

I just found this out, got a 6 cartridge sniper that has 216 ammo. Do it with the appetite for destruction saw then change to get extended Mag and total ammo on anything

Make a voids tear and change it to a boltshot, fire without aiming for a 3 shot of the vortex! Also try the same combo but replace the void with a lawgiver.

I can only assume so, but I haven’t tested. It should work but there isn’t a guarantee. However it’s loads of fun to play with and if it works in customs it’ll help make them more fun while the bug lasts!

Now if only they could add pick-up-able armor mods …

Just went and tested it. It works and it’s still just as fun in customs lol

I don’t kno, perhaps they’ll make it a feature like vehicle welding. People like it, it adds more to customs, and does nothing to harm the game.

Holy cow hide. This is incredible.

Spent three hours last night doing this. Found a LOT of sweet guns.

Some tips: Open Hand will give burst-fire capability to anything.

The base weapon you choose when adding an attachment to a different weapon can have different effects. Ex. Putting a SMG Silencer on a magnum makes it completely silent, while putting a DMR Silencer on a Magnum will make it sound like a silenced DMR.

As you all may know, different weapons have varying degrees of success with each other.

In my spartan company, we have a map they has only modded weapons, and the gameplay is insane. Kinda annoying getting constantly shot by gauss shots coming out of an h2 BR though.
