im seeing ALOT of modded maps in file shares, not just glitched but full on modded, and i heard that 343 wont remove those maps or ban people for it cuz it doesnt hurt the multiplayer experience. is there any truth in that? cuz some of these mods are REALLY fun to play :smiley: like the green orb mod and the teleport armor ability mod

Yeah it’s true OP, modded maps are okay because they don’t actually do anything bad towards Multiplayer, they just make custom games more fun.

And search for the author Skylie Tuff or Corbman for some modded gametypes Majorpain.

Personally, mods are okay as long as they are in customs. They are meant for fun in that situation. If you take mods online into War Games, chances are, you are ruining the game for others and thats a problem.

I’m not sure what 343’s view on this is though, but I assume its okay because they were in Reach and stayed up.

Just be aware that if -Yoink!- (Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team) spots modded content, they’ll have no problem permabanning your account or even your console.

As the author can be modded as well, anyone who has modded content on their file share is vulnerable to a banhammer swing from -Yoink!-.

From the XBL Code of Conduct (emphasis mine):

> Some offenses warrant an immediate permanent suspension, including without limitation: hacking, modding, fraud, severe racial remarks, nudity on the Xbox LIVE Vision camera or Kinect camera, repeated creation of inappropriate gamertags or profile content, or posting viruses or URLs to viruses

If you repost modded content on your file share, don’t be surprised if you’re treated no differently to the person that originally posted it.

I think that technically they would need to say no, but nothing is stopping them from looking the other way (for now anyways).
