Is there anybody else who thinks if 343i modded halo 3 and called it halo 6, people would like that a lot better than halo 5?

Nope, a lot of people would call them lazy and bag on them for ripping Bungee off. Too many people hate 343 to allow them to give them what they want. Plus, 3 is too slow and the fact that super soldiers can’t sprint (outside of cutscenes) is ridiculous)

They don’t sprint for gameplay purposes. Canonically speaking, they can, but they choose not to would be believable enough since its multiplayer.
Although I do agree with you that 343 really can’t get away from bad reputation at this point. They would need to release something beyond stellar to fix they busted face.^<^

I kinda agree as well. The damage 343 has done so far it would take a flawless game to get any reputation back. It’s not the mechanics of H5 that causes so many not to like it. It’s the bugs,unstable servers, lack of game modes, and lack of polish that has hurt H5.

It could be said that 343 is catering to the wrong crowd.
Halo 3 is too slow and clunky for my tastes, I think I’d actually prefer Halo 5 as it is now, and I have a lot of problems with Halo 5 as is. A lot of other people would have no problem with Halo 3 as a foundation though, unfortunately.
I wouldn’t mind if they put in the Halo 3 engine with the new Spartan abilities in Halo 6, create the Halo 6 Campaign with it (exclude Halo 3’s reserve that for MCC), (all cutscenes by Ensemble studios), and just refurbish all the multiplayer maps with tons more customisation and superior forge.

Halo 3 is considered “slow” only because it had 70 FOV.
Play it with 90 FOV and it’s good, buff a bit the speed and it’s perfect
Tweaking bits and pieces of Halo 5’s core gameplay and using the rest of their time to ensure that Halo 6’s multiplayer launches with a substantial amount of content is 343i’s best bet at this point. Going back to the drawing board and then launching with only a handful of maps and modes because of it would be a disaster.
