Modded gametypes?

I’m not sure if it’s ok to talk about modded game types on this forum so I first apologise if that is not the case.

I’ve just downloaded an incredible (modded) race gametype and was very impressed. Halo is starting to feel a lot like Minecraft these days; the developers put in a decent amount of effort but it’s the community that make the game fun. Now, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that because I think it could be great for the future of custom games.

Do you feel that if 343i started to support modded gametypes (i.e. implementing them into the game through updates) then custom games would be more enjoyable?

EDIT: Nevermind.

Definitely. Custom Games is so limited right now in terms of customization without modding.

I’m afraid this might get locked soon. Apparently the moderators are very strict about this kind of thing.

You guy might want to edit your posts, just to be safe.

343i have allowed modded Forge maps before (to increase the number of objects that can be placed, such as rocks…). I downloaded it from someone’s fileshare and all was fine. I’m sure the same can be said about gametypes, and there is no reason for 343i not to allow it- it’s not like it gives anyone any advantage and it doesn’t mess with matchmaking at all.

EDIT: Don’t you dare ban me, mods XP

Discussing mods isn’t allowed, but honestly, custom games are so terrible in Halo 4 that modded gametypes would really spice things up. Bam.

It’s appreciated that you didn’t go into the specifics of the modded gametype (who/what/how etc), but discussion of modded gametypes is not allow on Waypoint.

Thanks for understanding.
