Hello everyone that read this i am sure all of you had come across this problem and it is VERY annoying. i am setting up custom challenges and completing them before the time limit is set ( always 3 hours) and i always turn them in when i complete them i write down the credits i have before i turn the challenge in and then i wait 30 mins and log back in and nothing has changed no credits earned nothing. This has been happening a lot i dont know what to do i called xbox/Microsoft and they can not do anything they said they don’t even have 343’s contact number which is stupid because xbox sponsors the halo series …
when i called microsoft i re downloaded my profile and nothing has changed they said it is a server crash within halo waypoint
if a mod or admin is reading this can you please reply or send me a private message ive been sending them for 2 weeks and had gotten no reply … what do i do??
some people will reply with saying to turn it in at a different time or what not
it shouldn’t really matter when because you worked for the “challenge” and should earn the credits regardless of when it is turned in
You don’t need a Mod/Admin to figure this out. You’ve already answered it yourself.
If you don’t press Turn In, you can’t have the credits.
And yes…it does matter, as you’ve found out.

If you complete the challenge and the time runs out you still get the credits.
If you want your credits before the time runs out then click the turn in button, and then go to the dashboard on your 360 and go back into Reach, you should then have the credits added when you come back into Reach.
If you hit the credit cap for the day, then you won’t get the credits.
i did that and did not receive any credits also if i reach the daily cap when i finish a match making game it will tell me “cant get credits” or something to that message that i have seen before on my screen …
any other ideas?

Well the only other thing I can think of is that you got credit banned, but I don’t know what you do in game, so I can’t say for sure.
Normally what I said in the post is the case . .

You could have gotten credit banned or hit the cap, and you just missed the in-game message.
Again I don’t know what you do in game, so I can’t say for sure what has happened.
i was not credit banned because i just finished playing online for the day and was able to get credits through random match making … if there was a message i would of not been earning credits 
and i do not credit boost or do any dumb -Yoink- i play legit … i would just want my credits earned for doing challenges , challenges are not a credit boost its just to help rank and or to gain credits faster if it was a huge problem im sure 343 or would of set a limit on how many you could do

Well since your playing the game legit, then it wouldn’t be a in-game problem. If your still getting credits for everything that isn’t from the custom challenges then it is a problem with the custom challenges.
There might be a limit to how many credits you can earn from custom challenges, I don’t if there really is a limit though.
The best advice I can give is just don’t use custom challenges for like a day, just earn credits from just in-game things, and then make a few custom challenges after a day, and if it still doesn’t give you the credits for the custom challenges, then I guess you can try and pm a monitor or a mod, and then they can bring it to 343’s attention.

Like I said you could try not using custom challenges for a day and see if doing that fixes it. Mods and admins are busy people, sadly getting a response from them is unlikely.
You could try sending a pm to bs angel, Total Sellout, or GrimBrother One, but again they are busy.
I’m going to move this to the “Halo Waypoint” section. It’s basically our tech support area, and putting the thread there may increase the chances of this being seen by someone official who can help you out.
Also PMing you in case you don’t see this.

GrimBrother One isn’t a 343i employee, he can’t help out at all.
If you are having troubles, you should be PMing WaypointWeb.
Just to add on, the credit cap message won’t show up if you have gained any credits from custom challenges.
regardless if the message came up or not i was still gaining credits so i guess i did not hit the cap or was close to it just want my custom challenges fix because i enjoy setting them up not sure what else to do … i PM’d BS ANGEL last time i messaged a mod or admin i never got a reply and people ive spoke to said they usually never reply so i will wait it out i guess
I was under the impression that the credits were awarded after the time limit you originally set, regardless of whether the challenge was turned in early. Could that be it? In that case, you would have to wait at least 3 hours before you saw the credits on your profile.

The payout is no longer when the timer runs out(it used to be, though), but you should get the cR shortly after turning them in.

okay so i made a challenge for 200 kills in 3 hours for match making and after i turned it in i shut off my xbox and waited 15minutes i refreshed halo.xbox.com on my service record and saw the 9,495 credits added. so i guess you have to get off the game and wait until the timer on the challenge is complete?.. i have one right now to kill enemies in a mission on campaign it will go fairly quick so im going to wait until it has 5 minutes left and i will turn in the challenges and wait about 10 minutes to see if i get the credits. if not ill post back and let u know.

You should just be able to go to your dashboard and then go back into Reach.

i dont ever see checking downloadable content but i will try it i just handed 4 in and it needs 55 more mins im currently doing 4 more and it has 2 hours left on it so i will go to dashboard when the 55 min ones are done btw they ARE turned in so i will try that
