Is there any way I can view the full version of this site on my iPhone? I pretty much only look at this site on my iphone and the mobile version is lacking to say the least.
Sadly not, you are forced onto the mobile view if your screen resolution is too small, there isn’t a url or any thing you can visit which sucks
I have the same issue, whenever Im not using my computer, which lately hasn’t been much since i’ve been glued to waypoint, I go on waypoint on my phone but its slower, harder to click and it really is lacking…
What would make it less lacking?
Waypoint team

I use my phone most of the time. It’s in mobile site a lot of times, but big enough to stretch to the full site.
I go back in forth from cpu to phone.
Someone told me before the way the website is displayed depends on your screen size so I don’t think there is a way. I wish they’d change it sometime soon, I’d love to view it normally on my iPhone but that might never be changed or not for a while anyway.

Two things that personally bother me are
-
There is no button to the forums, you just have to type in www.forums.halowaypoint.com. It was like this the last time I checked so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
-
When replying to anything, the screen zooms in and I always need to zoom out when replying. It does it automatically, at least for me, If anyone else has been experiencing this issue please attest to it.
The speed can get a little annoying at times to but I know thats not Waypoints fault seeing as mobile phones can only go so fast at this point in time.

- If you tap the Community on the drop down, it will say Forums

Yet again Moa, your the first one to either prove me wrong or provide me with info
Thank you again lol
EDIT: WaypointWeb FYI, when I said it was lacking on mobile devices, I was comparing it to the computer version. Its just easier to use on a computer and while I may have an iPhone and love it, Im not the biggest fan of touch screen believe it or not. The actual site is fine for the most part via mobile. Just some issues here and there and Moa answered one of mine already
Also, side question - Will there ever be an option to use the forums via waypoint on XBL? I’ve wanted that for a while but I never thought it would ever make it to xbox.

Internet Explorer is coming to Xbox LIVE in the Fall Dashboard update, so you will be able to access the forums doing that on the console.
I use my phone 90% of the time …
And I like this site
O and the xbox thing with the forums that sounds great .
This website is horrible on a computer, I couldn’t imagine how bad it is on a tablet/phone.
Previously it was that when you viewed this site in portrait view you had the mobile version but when in landscape view you had the full site. Why this genius decision still doesn’t exist is beyond me.

Hard to explain. It’s not one big thing in particular, but rather that everything on this site seems to be dumbed down and less accessable via the mobile platform. The best I can do is tell you to browse around here for a day on your phone and I’m sure you’ll understand.
I’d really just like it if I was at least given the option to view the full site on my phone. I assume the reason may be performance issues, but shouldn’t dealing with something like that be my choice?
Its about screen size. Theres a reason they went out of their way to crate a mobile version.
Opera mini may render the full site, it depends on what size opera have the viewport set to on their servers or if waypoint sniffs UA strings.
Thanks Fatal. I understand that it’s about screen size, but if I want to deal with the issues created by viewing the full site on my phone that should be a choice that I get to make; not one that’s made for me.
I know that I used to be able to view the full site on my phone, and the issues weren’t any worse than what I deal with on my Mac, or even with the mobile version of this site.
I appreciate the effort of the Waypoint team “going out of their way” to create a mobile version, but I prefer the full site, and I think I should be given the option to view it on my phone.

I can change my phone’s UA to a desktop client, and it still displays the mobile site. So nope

I would like the mobile site to feel more like the computer site. I loooove the layout on the computer, I really hope it doesn’t undergo any drastic changes anytime soon.
On that note, I wish for the mobil site we could see our post quote, thanks, medals, and avatar next to each posts instead of our name. Im sure that would take longer to load, but it would be a nice addition.
