As this shows relevancy in other forms such as ‘expanding the halo universe’ I am posting this topic here, in hopes to get more attention.
Nevertheless with all the hype with the new mainstream consoles and games, other gaming companies (particularly Activision), have produced an outstanding mobile FPS that has captured a vast amount of attention. With nostalgic concepts and frequent updates, it keeps any gamer engaged.
Therefore, I believe 343 industries should compromise a team to compete in this stream of gaming.
I’ve played well made mobile fps games before so I do believe 343 could pull it off but if they were to make a mobile shooter they’d have to be easy on the story because I’d say it’s safe to say that the fan base would not react well to a major plot point being from a mobile game even if it was produced well. it could make for a decent spin off game though.

I could see it working more along the lines of something like PUBG Mobile or COD mobile, where it’s entirely MP from what I understand. I’m not much of an MP fan, but the folks I know who play COD on mobile are obsessed with it. Apparently its pretty well done.
Do people actually like mobile FPS games and how do they compare to either mouse/keyboard or controllers? From my short experiences on PUBG mobile it was kind of clunky, so much so that I just uninstalled it so I wouldn’t waste any more time with it.
Well some could say Halo 5, and Halo Wars 2 already are mobile, because you can play it on the Xbox Game Streaming App. It allowed me to play Firefight on the run, when I was grinding to 152… It doesn’t stand up to console play, at all, but as a mobile feature, I was impressed.
I don’t think they’d bother with xCloud coming out soon. Why make a dumbed down version of something when you can play the actual thing on mobile.
Could 343i make a mobile game? Yes. Would they fanbase like it? Most would not.
343 probably won’t do it just because the bad reviews from H5G they got and I don’t think the fans want a mobile game either, not saying it’s a bad idea but I think it’s not in the picture at the moment.

I also see the ups and downs here. But regardless, this may be an area that should not be left unaddressed. I have played fireteam raven at a local arcade. What may show promise, is if they allow the user to become exposed to this arcade FPS style of gaming through their smartphones. Using fireteam raven as the selling point, the mobile version could be a prequel to the famous arcade game.
On the contrary, 343i is more than welcome to make the most badass version of mobile Halo.
I would love to play Halo: CE with only blood gluch like the trail version of Halo for PC. If they put the trail version of Halo 1 on mobile I honestly think it would be game of the year candidate for mobiles.
I doubt 343 will revisit the mobile scene after Spartan Assault and Strike were so bad, but it would be cool to see a COD mobile type FPS.

I have played those, and enjoyed them. But I some what agree brother, it would be awesome to see a halo mobile fps!

Mobile FPS’s aren’t “dumber” versions of the games. Mobile versions of Fortnite and Call of Duty are pretty damn well fleshed out as games and run just as well as their console counterparts. Just add an Xbox controller and it’s just like playing on a console, for the most part.
Halo mobile wouldn’t even when that well. A lot of the parts are very precise and doing with an aim assist defeats the purpose of some of the levels like Truth and Reconciliation and the ones in reach that I can’t remember the name of. Plus a lot of agility would be given up. Plus driving tanks and warthogs would be very hard (rip warthog run).

Okay but it still stands with xCloud you don’t even need to make another version
I think 343 could only make a successful mobile game if the game didn’t have any pay walls or heavy micro transactions. The game would also need to have alot to do in it, as well as have some form of Co op and multiplayer. Oh, and many of us would want acheivments and online stats pages to see and compare stats.
Maybe we will see a mobile game in the future when 343 thinks infinite is all set.
Also, like many have said before me, x cloud makes it possible to play some halo games on our phone all ready. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but I doubt I’ll use it alot when I figure out how to play halo on my phone. I rather play a new game with new experiences on my phone, instead of a game I can play on my TV that I already beat.
I think it would be killer. I play COD mobile and the fan base is huge. If 343 can out with a multiplayer FPS similar to COD’s it would be awesome. Go a little farther than COD mobile and do custom armor where the player can change and mix armor types and colors.
No… no never In the history of anything does there ever need to be a mobile halo game…back in the day they explored the idea of halo on the ds but even that was a terrible idea. Halo isn’t cod, pubg or fortnite.

They could just do multiplayer.
I still wish Spartan Strike could come to Xbox One.

That’s all COD mobile is. Battle royale and multi player. No reason for a story line, just shoot and kill.
I could possibly see a watered down port of CE on mobile. I know 343 is busy at work with many projects right now but a possible Halo game on my phone maybe a year or 2 from now would be pretty cool. I would hope for controller support though as I hate on screen FPS controls a lot. Though on the topic of Halo on the go, I would double dip the MCC if it were to come to Nintendo Switch, but again with many projects on their plate I feel 343 wouldn’t be able to get to that for a while.
