MnK vs Controller

A lot of people are complaining about either Controller aim assist being too strong, or mouse and keyboard being too strong.

I am of the opinion that the aim assist is a bit too strong myself. Either that or the guns just need a bit more magnetism so MnK can land shots easier.

BUT, I suggest that the developers take the data of average accuracy, perfects, win rate etc. to see what really needs to happen.

I doubt devs will read this, but instead of nerfing controller aim assist, maybe just turn up the magnetism, like MCC, it would benefit both controller and mouse and keyboard.

You have to keep in mind that a lot of what tanks Mouse players acc % is just people pushing the limits of the weapons and their own aim. For isntance Mouse players will 100% try to snipe you with their AR and Sidekick because they don’t notice if there’s bullet magnetism or aim assist at all half the time. They just see the bullets hitting very near center crosshair and go “Oh i just need to aim better, this is doable.”

Personally I don’t think it’s worth trying too hard to balance the two. 343 should only worry about keeping any extreme balance issues in check. Plus adding more bullet magnetism would ruin Mouse ranked. The BR is already too easy to use.

I honestly don’t think AA is in a bad place right now. Unfortunately, the sensitivity settings on controller are utterly useless for adjusting turn speed, You can max sensitivity, acceleration, and input thresholds then time a 360 spin. Then, you can drop sensitivity with no perceptible slowing in turn speed… I’ve timed it, and it takes exactly 1 second to 360 on all settings over 5. Then, on 1, it takes 1.1 seconds… I don’t think there should be just a 10% turn speed difference between the lowest and highest sensitivity settings…

This makes time to get cursor on target super unbalanced between input devices, particularly with sudden appearances or movements. Controller might have a slight advantage due to AA in scenarios where there are long straight corridors, but M&K wins in every other situation if you can maintain aim due to the ease of snapping to target.

Please just keep them separate.

MnK bullet magnetism I hate.

They are just way to different to balance each other.

Mouse & Keyboard is better there is a “misunderstanding” about aim-assist.

People who say that the AIM-ASSIST → KB / MOUSE have a very superficial point of view I explain it.

The AIM-ASSIST of CoD-WARZONE, APEX, BATTEFIELD is very “powerful” and if it gives you more “accuracy” in your shots. It is the only section that wins the “gamepad” in everything else “loses” and for a pasting

A KB / MOUSE player with the mechanical keyboard can make “Strafes” much faster than any other player using the gamepad joysticks, no matter how much you “spam” a Joystick you will never have the “speed” of a 300 euro mechanical keyboard.

With the “Mouse” you can get VERY SIMILAR results to the most POWERFUL aim-assist in the world but not only that.

“The console player” has a “placebo” because he kills a lot in CoD-Warzone he thinks it’s very good because his aim-bot led him to diamond, but the moment you put him to play ANY real SHOOTER HALO included they realize their true level and the SERIOUS OF THE ISSUE is that they DO NOT IMPROVE.

Since everything is based on its aim-assist, his mechanicals do not improve vs a kb / mouse player that every DAY is improving more and more.

In conclusion AIM-ASSIST of the control IS BETTER ONLY on the ACCURACY in everything else it gains kb / mouse

My recommendation for GAMEPAD players. Play CASUAL games AND PRACTICE aim without aim-assist and exclusively in ranked use aim-assist so they will improve day by day.

You’re complaining about aim assist when console players can’t even freaking do a 180 turn that takes less than 30 years? This game sucks. Slow sensitivity would’ve just been bad by itself, but it’s forced crossplay instead… weak. Real weak.

To have tested since 15 Nov between pc k&m and controller as well as on console, and to have tested with friends on both platforms, the aim assist is not so powerful as it is, it could indeed be improved.

However the bullet magnetism is for me and others too powerful.

It doesn’t matter that k&m can strafe super fast because the bullets will still hit while on k&m if you’re not pixel perfect on the guy the bullets go by which results in losing a lot of duels, added to that the problem of hit registration which is much more present when playing k&m than controller (may be bullet magnetism that comes into account) as well as games where some are at 100ms+ and you have quite a bit of frustration from k&m who lose duels on which they have the advantage.

For the controllers the problem as I said is that the aim assist is rather poor so certainly it is easier to 1vs1 (thanks to bullet magnetism) but it is not pleasant so we are obliged to compensate with the right joystick to bring the cursor back to the target to overshoot the other side again and again so certainly we can win the duel but I have the impression to play with a drunk spartan.

One thing we thought of would be to increase the aim assist which would allow the controller player to increase their sensitivity but reduce the bullet magnetism or even remove it, but especially not put it on the k&m. In any case that is k&m and controller both have problems at the moment and to have been on both sides I understand the opinions of everyone and their frustrations.
