From a redit post “MatchMaking Ratio/Rank. Basically, it’s the definitive skill rating of how good the game thinks you are. CSR is slightly different because it resets every season, and is designed to under-rank you initially while you climb the ranks a bit after your placement matches. So basically, MMR is definitive and hidden, while CSR is related but ultimately cosmetic.”
