Something is wrong with Halo 3 for the past few days.
I know people complain about bad connections day in and day out and that will never change.
But currently there is something completly wrong in the H3 playlist. 4 out of 5 games are unplayable because of bad connection at the moment. It feels like the dedicated servers that I used to get here and there are totally shut down.
Having to search for 15 minutes average makes it even more frustrating.
Someone always gets host and outplays everyone else. Even my teammate that live close to me got host once or twice, and even when he normally has a good host in customs etc. it was barely playable for anyone else in the H3 playlist.
Can you please say a word about this? Do you know that something is wrong?
Everyone that grinds Halo 3 says the same. Its not just bad shot register or anything. Its completly unplayable.
I never played so many laggy matches ever. Not in any Halo, not in MCC even at launch and not in any other multyplayer game ever.
Something is clearly off the last few days.
(also, please consider making objective gametypes BR starts. That would improve the playlist a lot and people would actally vote for it.)
I dont expect it, but I would love to get an information about this.

I’m having the exact same problems, most of the matches I’ve played on Halo 3 have been completely unplayable. Sometimes I’ll get a game that is fine but a lot have been like this. I’m not sure if it’s something to do with playing from Europe and connecting to players from other continents but I’ve never had this problem this consistently before not even at the launch of MCC. Glad it’s not just me experiencing this.
It’s an absolute joke. There is no reason that this game should still be broken other than the fact that 343 clearly don’t care and just want people to move to H5.

The problem is a team spread too thin: The people who are working on Halo 5 are the same people working on The Master Chief Collection.

For me, about 1 in 4-5 games isnt filled with lag. It is either horribly laggy, and unplayable (which amusingly after a few minutes the game just ends randomly) or its laggy in the “oh you had to 6 shot a guy with your BR in h3 because youre dropping shots half the time” sort of way. I like halo, and the challenge that the multiplayer affords, but I cant really bother to play it, when I can go play Titanfall and actually kill the people I shoot, and not have people teleporting around everywhere.
The lag is ridiculous in Halo 3. I still manage to find games but there are some games that are just unplayable, and 1 person in that game will have all the kills because he has host.

Well seeing as they make millions every year maybe they should employ some more people.

Australia, here. I’ve experienced this as well, and haven’t had a single good Halo 3 game. That being said, I can’t even find a match in Team Slayer, so I can’t test it now. This is the result from 2 days ago. On another topic, Halo 2 Classic is the only playlist I can find matches in and there’s about 200ms of lag in every game I play. Am I alone on this?
Yea its been almost unplayable for the last week, its bad in H2A and even H4 which I thought would be imposible to make lag as bad as H3 but I was wrong. I believe they have turned off what little server support they had for MCC in the last week and just decided not to tell the community and let everyone have the worst games in history. I wish they would communicate with us. I’m thinking about just waiting for H5 to come out and leave MCC alone because of the things 343 does to us on this game. I think they get a thrill out of watching us suffer sometimes.

See its happening to almost everyone, they did something and dont realize that its broken the game or they dont care. I dont know which is worse.
Was reading that people on team beyond have the same issue. Seeing how my friends and you guys react too, I think we can all agree that something is really messed up for the last few days. (for me its since the friends rooster is working again)
It really makes the game unplayable. Can we please get an information about this?

I like to play different playlists in HMCC. All of them lags. I think that there isn’t enough population in the MCC to play good multiplayer games. I’ve got 300/30 mb FTTH connection in Spain and i usually get hosted American matches. Laggin’ as hell.

Yes i believe you are right it started happening to me right after my roster was fixed. What ever they did to fix the roster has made matchmaking supper laggy not to mention cause the party lead glitch to end games early and longer search times as well.
Same here, I was hoping I’d come on here and see others having the same problem. I’m in the UK, Halo 3 is unplayable but I haven’t tried anything else recently. Judging by the reports on here Halo 2 and 4 are almost as bad.
Just tested a few other playlists too and this problem clearly exists a cross the board. The H2A match was so laggy that even the sound of the BR was different because not even the audio could connect right anymore.

No not alone, the 200ms lag is simply us Aussies playing on American host, we really need a region select feature to be able to find consistently decent matches.
