MM Issues since 4v4 Update and last CU

Just providing some feedback on issues i’ve experienced since the 4v4 and latest CU

I’ve been searching H3 exclusively with one player in my party

  • In a 4v4 playlist the lobby occasionally locks in more than 8 players. This leads to an infinite “joining game” message. If a player leaves, it usually breaks up the lobby with 4-5 people remaining, it attempts to make a game with the remaining players, realises there aren’t enough then goes back to ‘searching for players’ whilst the lobby displays members of the lobby as being red/blue already. It never finds any players so we are forced to quit/restart.- The frequency of uneven teams has increased for me since the playlist became 4v4.- The frequency of my party being split onto different teams has increased. It had not happened the two weeks leading up to the 4v4 change.- Every 5th game or so i’m getting dropped from the lobby on the game loading screen. My party friend (who is also on the same LAN) as i gets into the game on most occasions. Sometimes we will both drop during the game load screen. This has also occured to 3rd/4th party members during the game loading.- Every 10th game or so will be plagued by 2-3 second latency. If a few people quit out, it seems to fix itself.- I noticed a weird bug on a low latency game where i was able to shoot two beam rifle shots when i only had 1 shot remaining. I can probably cap this and upload to my xbl if needed.- When in a lobby during the vote process, if you press X for roster, then return by pressing B, the UI activates the vote button again. ‘Revoting’ doesn’t count towards the vote. SO mainly an aesthetic bug in the UI- I’m still unable to back out of a mm search lobby without breaking up the current party. This often results in each member of the lobby having to quit the game to allow the lobby to be reformed.- On occasion, once reaching the ‘joining session’ stage of MM, it will sit on this status indefinitely and never join or find a game. Once a party member backs out it then changes status to ‘Retrieving player info’. If only one of party members back out, it often connects the remaining player to the lobby.- When 7 players are in a MM lobby an attempting to find the last player, it will often sit on joining session for 5-10 minutes before finally finding a player. Maybe related to the above issue?- When attempting to change my nameplate i am unable to do so. I’ve tried from a) whilst searching for a game b) while on the find game menu and c)whilst in the main menu. It just won’t stick. I was attempting to change from the 150 win plate to the 200 win plate.- Maps used in h3 slayer are still the old variants. Would be nice if these were updated. I can only handle getting double maulered so much on guardian and construct.Other thoughts on the state of the game:
  • The issues seem to be more prevalent when the lobby involves a guest or multiple parties.- Social style halo (no ranks) will get stale pretty soon. In addition to numbers, the teams and lobbies skill wise are incredibly unbalanced. Desperately need a working match making system. I guess this won’t happen until matchmaking is in a reasonable state- Feels like many of the underlying issues are still present- I’m really missing a competitive H3 playlist (MLG settings) and H3 doubles.Still hopeful though…
