MM and FRAME RATE LAG

Lately I have been getting really bad FRAME RATE LAG

On forged maps
Abdul even worse in the BTB anniversary playlists

Just wondering if anyone else is getting this or is it just me abdul my friends that play together

Is there any way to stop this??

Well I get the same thing when I play Halo Reach. The only thing I can tell you is put your TV in Game Mode. Because for some stupid reason for all Halo games the frame rate runs slower then games like COD, GOW3, and GRFS. Like I have a Samsung - 55" Class - LED - 1080p - 240Hz TV. The TV has a game mode but I prefer not to use it. I just hope that when Halo 4 comes out that the game can handle fast TV’s like mine and yours.

uh, check you’re xbox because as fare as i’m aware connection doesn’t effect performance.

I had the same issue using the on demand version of Reach so I removed my 360’s HDD and used the Reach disc along with USB storage and the problem persisted.

I’m confident this is a server issue as host selection has also been effed the last month or so.

The people that manage Matchmaking vet the maps before putting them in playlists, to avoid frame rate lag. The requirements are surprisingly strict and there are even standardized tests for it, so if you’re just getting frame rate lag all over the place, it may be a problem on your end (like your TV).

If you’re getting frame rate lag in specific spots, at specific camera angles, however, and if you can reliably reproduce this, then I’d recommend posting in the official threads for the affected maps.

Reach’s engine cant handle that many objects on screen at once. Forged BTB maps are some of the worst, but even just looking from snipe to snipe on asylum with action in ring causes epic amounts of framerate droppage. Which begs the question, why the -Yoink- did bungie put that damnable map in the game? Did they not test it at all?
