MM 0-G Map Idea

I think 343 might have already thought about this but I just wanted to make a thread for it.

Since we will now have a 0-G Thruster pack available, I think there should be one or two maps that have big 0-G areas. I was thinking maybe a map on an asteroid or a small moon or possibly a forerunner 0-G testing facility that has some forerunner structures around that can bring you underground where it will be normal G, but the main map is on the 0-G surface.

Thoughts?

Yes, I’d like to see space maps too. The obvious one people would want is a map that takes place the middle of a spaceship battle. You’d have to go through 0-G to reach the other base with your thrusters. Players would also get to pilot Sabres, Banshees, Seraphs, or even Vampires in the 0-G areas. The actually battle-cruisers themselves might have turrets or other defensive weaponry on them. Then of coarse there would be the two interior ship areas that act as bases.

These kinds of maps would be great for objective-based big team battles.

For forge we need gravity boxes where we can alter the gravity in one area. When forging on a 0-G map you could make normal-G areas. When forging on a normal map you could make 0-G areas. I wonder what 343 could do with water under 0-G???

I am not a fan of zero-g or near zero-g map elements. I kinda hope we don’t see too many maps with this feature in Halo 4.

Sounds like it would be cool, but I hope that it’s not like in Reach where if you turn down the gravity in settings it effects the zero gravity environments in maps like Zealot.

I also really hope they do proper 0G. I want to see every ship/player with “up” as a different direction. Most space games have everything facing the same way and if you rotate your ship it automatically “straightens” up.

Black Prophecy does not straiten the ships out. I think for an FPS it might have to be straitened though. I know it was not in LNoS but maybe that’s just because they did not put any on foot parts in the space battle.

If i could please post a concept idea for the map? theres one from LP2 that i thuroghly enjoy! A map like this needs a anti-grav pack

Agreed. But if they could make a map that had 0-G in areas with also a bit of vegetation, I think it would give it a really nice and unique style. Maybe some kind of forerunner green house in space that has a big hole in it so the artificial gravity does not work??

If 343 sees this: PLEAS DO NOT BLOCK OFF 0-G AREAS ON NOT FULLY 0-G MAPS LIKE BUNGIE DID WITH ZEALOT.

Why does zealot even have the 0-G space anymore?? Its not fun to go in only to get the hell out before it kills you.
