MLG.....

I’m not here to promote MLG or its place within Halo, although I do feel it enabled the game to diversify it’s appeal allowing to cater to more people. Love them or hate them, I feel the pros were stabbed in the back by 343. They were given early access to game and in return provided 343 with advice on balancing, making the game as fair and as fun as possible. 343 clearly never took on board anything they had to say (I doubt they had intended to anyway), and simply made the game how they wanted to. It’s quite possible that as this was all taking place, 343 knew they were to discontinue their relationship with MLG and instead sign a contract with -Yoink!- Gaming.
The point is, it appears that 343 only invited the MLG folk around as a symbolic gesture, to get the competitive community onside before releasing a game which was completely inadequate for competitive play. The MLG community were exploited for 343s gain, they were promised a game in which they could continue their professional Halo career with, yet 343 clearly lied and knew that they were to destroy these peoples livelihoods.
I have used MLG as an example of how 343 had their own stubborn agenda for this game. During the games creation the fans were very clear in what they wanted from this game, 343 did not listen and the majority of fans are not happy (look at the population in relation to the number of copies sold before you try and deny this). Its a real shame that 343 have been so stubborn. This game was so close to being a true masterpiece, were it not for a few bad mistakes we could now be talking about how great this game is. Hopefully Halo 5 will get it right.

This is my first post, please be constructive  Thanks.
