First full games are coming out Friday at 12pm EST. They will be played by MLG pros, which is good for the competitive community.

Not sure why you are so upset with E3. I’ve been remarkably pleased with what we have been shown so far.
Halo 4 has had an amazing showing so far, and I’ve only heard great things from people who don’t usually play Halo. This progression in the franchise is going to bring a lot of fresh blood and bring older blood back. Remember there’s a lot of people who have been disappointed with the progression of the Halo franchise since Halo 3. There’s a lot of older fans who are going to come back because of these changes.
Besides the amazing showing Halo 4 has had, Dishonored has me really excited. I’m a big fan of the old Thief and Deus Ex games so to see Harvey Smith attached to a game makes me really excited. Splinter Cell Black Light, Hitman, Resident Evil 6, Assassins Creed 3, Dark Souls DLC and Tomb Raider also have me really excited for this year.
It’s going to be a great year of gaming. And come on man, we’ve seen enough about Halo 4 to warrant the entire event. I’m excited to play the campaign since the first time since Halo 2.
343i you knocked it out of the park this E3 and I’m sure we have even more great things to see later this week! You’ve made this fan very happy and roped in some friends I’ve not played Halo with since Halo 2. Great Job!

Seriously, does anyone think they’ll be using default Halo 4 settings or highly customized settings that don’t reflect what we’ll get? 343i is just using MLG to try to win over tryhards.

They have already played the games, and already tweeted, made videos etc on their initial reactions.
Since this is all PR and not an honest evaluation, review or testimony of Halo 4 I expect them all to say it’s sick, the best game ever etc, that’s why 343i hired them to play it and “like it”.
Some of the community looks up to MLG players and believe everything they say, even though they do know they can’t speak freely due to NDA, they can only say the things MS/343i wants them to. A cheap way to get good “street cred” from the community.
When the game is released, the MLG guys can claim that it changed since they played, they used custom settings, or hoped 343i would “fix the gameplay prior to release” and hence have their back free, and still get the unquestionable love from their fans.
