Halo 3 was by far my favorite Halo game (as is the same with a lot of you,) and I think it has to do with the fact that there was actual ranked and social playlists. Mainly, I played a hell of a lot of MLG. When I play Halo, I like to have fun, and since I am very competitive, being in a game with 7 other people with the same competitiveness is my ideal way to have fun while playing Halo.
I believe that Halo 5 needs an MLG playlist, which houses BR/pistol starts, power ups, and NO RADAR! This will ensure that it is the team with the better teamwork and map control that will prevail.
What do you think? I would personally love this playlist, and it would get me wholeheartedly interested in halo multiplayer again, as right now it’s getting pretty stale.
Have you tried breakout the one life thing with no radar can make it intense for teamplay
Why not, although better teamwork and map control prevail now anyway. The motion tracker is too small to factor into it too much.
If you really want the “MLG” component, then go into the ranked areas of arena.
It’s also redundant that you want the Battle Rifle, and Magnum, as the Magnum actually has a better kill speed. It’s more competitive to go with the Assault Rifle and Magnum.
The arena playlist is where you will find the hardcore competition. Just gotta climb to a higher rank to find people that take it seriously with strategies and such things.
Yes, I’ve tried Breakout, and while it is competitive, it doesn’t have the “Map control” component.
The ranked areas of arena still aren’t what I am looking for when I say “MLG.” They are competitive, sure, but still not enough people are communicating. Whenever I played MLG in halo 3, EVERYONE would have a mic and be constantly communicating and calling out. I want a playlist that is for serious gamers, or “Tryhards” as they are referred to now, a playlist that majorly encourages teamwork and map control more than they do now.
Yes, 18M for the radar is really low, but most of the maps have tons of corners you can hide around and not have visual sight of the enemy, so by not having the radar, call-outs become even more important.
The BR start is because I MLG has always been BR start in my experience, and magnum because it is another precision weapon, and not a no-skill-spray-and-pray gun like the AR.
