What is an mlg kd ratio? i know for sure i don’t have it because i don’t play with a team i barley have a 1.645 but if an mlg pro where to play alone would it be like 2.000?

not true at all… you can have a winning competitive team and have a horrible kd… if you’re playing this competitively no one cares about your k.d as long as you win, why would it matter if you screw around for days on end in public matches and your kd goes down, doesnt mean you can’t poop on kids in a tourney…

I once finally got my k/d to 2.5 and was all packed and set to go to an mlg event when friends convince me to play some zombies with them last minute before heading out. Turns out it brought my k/d down by 0.1 and when I arrived at the event and they checked my id they saw I was 2.4 and they didn’t let me in. I was furious. Ended our friendship after that.

this didnt happen… i dont know how you people are so dumb as to think that your public kd record has anything to do with being aloud to play competitively… your team wins in an open tourney you can make it to a major… even if your public kd is .00000001

I have to stop reading the forums at work this had me rolling so hard people came over to see what I was doing.
MLG players v.s other MLG players tend to hover around 1.0 give or take. Because they are similarly skilled.
- k/d ratio indicates you are still climbing in rank. - k/d indicates you are falling in rank. 1.0 indicates you belong at your rank. Keep in mind that the social playlists are still ranked, the ranking is just behind the scenes.
Also… my obligatory k/d in MCC is 2.668 but I am sure its going to fall closer to 1.0 over time.
kd is ultimately irrelevant as to your level of skill. it really is more a testament to your play style. for example you can camp every game you play with rockets or shotty and have a 3.0 k/d but take away those elements and you could be trash. for stats to really tell a players skill level, they would have to be something very extensive like stats in pro sports, otherwise doesn’t really mean too much IMO
